Fox has been building up their animation slate over the last year. However, today they decided to cancel one of their show. According to Variety, Bless the Harts will not be back for a third season.
The show starred Kristin Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell, Ike Barinholtz, and Kumail Nanjiani, and it was produced by Oscar winners Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
Personally, I was surprised they brought it back for a second season because it was not doing that well in the ratings during their first.
The Masked Singer will be back for a fifth season on March 10th, and Fox is making some big changes to the show.
We know that Nick Cannon will be out for a few episodes because he tested positive for COVID-19 at the start of filming. He was temporarily replaced by Niecey Nash during that time.
Today, they announced another change. Season five celebrity contestants will be split into two groups of five (a and b). But the game changes when all-new celebrities, masked from head to toe, jump into the “wildcard” rounds and perform for the chance to win it all!
Who are the contestants for this season? Combined, they have 26 nominations, nine multi-platinum singles, four academy award nominations, three super bowl appearances, six gold medals, and two world records!
Mayim Bialik is back with her own sitcom on Fox tonight at 8p (or after the football game, depending on where you live). Bialik plays Kat, a 39-year-old single woman who owns a cat cafe in Call Me Kat.
Kat lives on her own above her cat cafe. Her mom (Swoosie Kurtz) would love her daughter to stop being the crazy cat lady and get married like Kat’s best friend Tara (Vanessa Lachey). In the pilot episode, Tara is renewing her vows, and she asked Kat to bring a plus one. Kat asks one of her workers from the cafe to go with her. Phil (Leslie Jordan) is getting over a breakup with his boyfriend, so he is more than willing to go with his boss. However, Kat’s college crush, Max (Cheyenne Jackson), is back in town working at the bar by her cafe, and she would rather go with him to the wedding. What Kat doesn’t know is that Max is dating another woman from Paris. What will Kat do when she finds out that his girlfriend is also in town?
Thankfully, Kat can confide in her other employee Randi (Kyla Pratt). Randi is going to do everything in her power to get Kat to change. Something Kat will have to do because her mother won’t stop fixing her up on dates. Dates she doesn’t want because all she wants to do is date Max. Does he want to date her? Kat will do everything she can to find out.
Did I mention there are cats on the show? I mean, this is a show about a cat cafe, so we have to have kitties. They just make this sitcom even more meowvelous.
That and the cast play off of each purrfectly. How can you not have comedy tuna with Leslie Jordan and Swoosie Kurtz on the show. They always bring the funny, no matter what they do.
Because of all of the above, you will be drawn to Call Me Kat like a cat is drawn to catnip.
Here’s a little secret about me, I am currently watching The Love Boat on Decades. Because of that, I have been wondering when the networks will bring back the scripted dramas which are full of celebrity guests. Today, we got our answer. Fox announced that they are bringing back Fantasy Island for its third reimagination. The series was rebooted for television in 1998, and it was released as a movie earlier this year
“In continuing to develop outside of the traditional broadcast cycle, we’ve been particularly focused on providing viewers with summer series that offer a true escape from everyday life – to be sure, now so more than ever,” said Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment, FOX Entertainment. “FANTASY ISLAND is a beloved program, and the world Liz and Sarah have created for this contemporary adaptation is signature FOX and a perfect show for today’s times. After all, who among us wouldn’t take a (safe) trip to Fantasy Island right now?”
No word who will play Mr. Roarke, but off the top of my head, I would go with Ian Somerhalder. When it comes to Tattoo, that will take me a little longer. I also hope they don’t use a lot of reality stars to be the stars of the week. I mean, Tori Spelling needs the work more than they do. Plus, she is a legacy to the show that her father created. Now that I think about it, maybe she can play Tattoo?
