Carl’s Jr will give you a free Cali XL Burger with a receipt for a Big Mac!
November 12th, 2025 under Fast Food, McDonald's. [ Comments: none ]

Big Macs are getting smaller, and Carl’s Jr’s burgers are getting bigger! Because of that, they want you to try their Cali XL burger for free.

But it comes with a condition… You need to upload a receipt to the app or at CarlsJr.com/SadMacBuyBack for a McDonald’s Big Mac between January 1 and November 11, 2025, to get one starting on November 22nd

And once you try the Cali XL, which is double the meat of that other burger, you won’t mind spending $5.99 for one.

“People want a burger that’s actually worth it. Our new Cali XL has more meat, more flavor and more value,” said Paz Romero, vice president of brand at Carl’s Jr. “The ‘Sad Mac Buy Back’ is our way of letting guests try it for themselves by swapping disappointment for something better— no questions asked.”

Of course, there will be one question, “Do you want fries with that?”

Shhhh, the McRib is back!
November 7th, 2025 under Fast Food, McDonald's. [ Comments: none ]

Every year, McDonald’s brings back the McRib and normally, the fast food giant announces it ahead of time. However, this year they didn’t. So, fans of the sandwich, like me, discovered it when they opened up the app.

While I was able to get my mouth on one, not everyone is as lucky. That is because Mickey D’s has been slowly rolling out, with 11/11 as the official nationwide launch date.

Don’t wait too long to get dirty with one because they are only available while supplies last.

The Gremlins have invaded Jack in the Box!
November 6th, 2025 under Fast Food, Jack in the Box. [ Comments: none ]

While Gizmo cannot eat after midnight, we can. And Jack in the Box is using that to get us to buy their Gremlins Midnight Meal.

The lucky $13 meal comes with 2 Crispy Chicken Strips, 2 Tacos, Onion Rings, Halfsie Fries, Midnight Sauce & a drink. But the real reason to order it is that it comes with a limited-edition Gremlins Air Freshener!

However, don’t ask me what it smells like because no one seems to know. Hopefully, it smells like popcorn, just like when all of the Gremlins were watching the movie and eating popcorn in the first film.

On that note. Gremlins 3 is expected to take over theaters in November 2027. I will believe it when I see it.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf turns Tiramisu into a coffee!
November 5th, 2025 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but I love Tiramisu. It is the coffee that makes it so special. Therefore, it makes me wonder why no one has turned it into a coffee drink.

Well, now, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has done just that for the holidays. They are just two of the five drinks added to the Christmastime menu.

  • NEW Tiramisu Cream Iced Latte – Inspired by the classic Italian dessert, this indulgent iced latte layers bold espresso with rich mascarpone flavor, topped with a cloud of sweet, airy cream and a delicate dusting of dark chocolate cocoa. Also available as a traditional latte, hot or iced.
  • NEW Tiramisu Ice Blended® Drink – A decadent, creamy holiday treat that perfectly combines premium espresso and rich tiramisu flavor. Crowned with sweet whipped cream and a dusting of dark chocolate cocoa.
  • NEW Peppermint Mocha Cream Iced Latte – Smooth espresso blends with rich chocolate and cool peppermint, topped with a fluffy cream cap and peppermint pieces for a refreshing, indulgent finish. Also available as a traditional latte (hot or iced) or as a Peppermint Cold Brew.
  • Peppermint Mocha Dry Iced Americano – A bold twist on a winter classic. Rich espresso blends with cool peppermint and velvety chocolate, served over ice and topped with creamy half & half and a signature dark chocolate waterfall. Perfect for those who crave bold flavor with a touch of holiday flair.
  • Winter Dream Tea Latte – Christmas in a cup. This heartwarming tradition blends black tea, rooibos, sweet spices, and vanilla for a cozy, aromatic experience that captures the joy of the season. Available hot or iced.

“The holidays have a way of bringing us back to the things that matter most – time with loved ones, familiar traditions, and the comfort of something warm and sweet,” said Dana Castaneda, Head of Marketing for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Americas. “Our holiday beverages are made with that feeling in mind – to brew joy in every cup.”

It might bring joy to every cup, but my wallet will not be saying the same thing.

Dunkin’s Wicked good partnership
November 5th, 2025 under Cynthia Erivo, Dunkin', Fast Food, Jonathan Bailey. [ Comments: none ]

Wicked is one of the most popular words in Boston. Dunkin’ is the most popular donut place in that city. So it makes sense that Dunkin’ and Universal would team up to promote Wicked: For Good’s release this month.

“Wicked: For Good is such a stunning blend of heart, music, and imagination,” said Jill Nelson, chief marketing officer at Dunkin’. “Partnering with a story that means so much to fans everywhere gave us the chance to have a little fun with our own world, too. The result is a collaboration that’s playful, creative – and in true Boston fashion, wicked good.”

For this month only, you can choose from these three Wicked good treats:

  • Wicked Green Matcha: An emerald elixir fit for Elphaba herself. Dunkin’s classic Iced Matcha Latte gets a wicked twist with brown sugar and toasted almond flavors, made with whole milk for a creamy finish. Guests can also customize with oatmilk or almondmilk.
  • Wicked Pink Refresher: For those who prefer a touch of Glinda’s sparkle, this bright, bubbly pink drink is bursting with strawberry, dragonfruit, and blueberry flavors and made with sparkling water.
  • Wicked MUNCHKINS® Donut Hole Treats: At Dunkin’, there’s no place like the donut case. Old Fashioned Glazed MUNCHKINS® get the ultimate Wicked pink-and-green makeover, inspired by Oz’s most iconic duo.

The Glindas and Elphebas in your lives will love the Munchkins as well, as much as the Munchkins like Boq.
