Carl’s Jr. is giving out a free hangover burger on February 10th!
February 3rd, 2025 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

Let’s be honest. A lot of people are going to be drinking on Super Bowl Sunday. And that means they are going to wake up hungover the next day.

What is the best cure for a hangover? Besides more alcohol. Grease! Lots and lots of grease. You will be able to get it for free at Carl’s Jr.

The Hangover Burger is insanely craveable, with a charbroiled beef burger, folded egg, plenty of bacon, melty Swiss cheese, crispy hash rounds, and special sauce on a seeded bun.

All you have to do is download the fast food restaurant’s app, join their rewards program, and order it on Monday. However, it is one per person. Although, I think if you eat more than one in a day, you will wind up in the end zone. As in the hospital with a heart attack.

End Dry January with a free Slurpee from 7-Eleven
January 31st, 2025 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

A lot of people spent January not drinking drinks that are only for those over 21+, and the month seemed like it went on forever. Since they remained alcohol-free, they can celebrate their accomplishment by drinking a free small Slurpee from 7-Eleven today.

And you don’t have to be over 21 to celebrate. Because everyone feels like January is the longest month of the year.

“We know that every year, the long days of January can feel like the month will never come to an end – and this year has been no different,” says Dennis Phelps, Senior Vice President, Merchandising (Vault & Proprietary Beverages). “We’re giving our customers a sweet and refreshing surprise because whether you’re in the mood to grab a Slurpee drink or another fan-favorite product, 7-Eleven is here to help add a little joy to everyone’s day and shift your vibe for the rest of the year.”

I don’t know about you, but I am going to seven 7-Elevens to get a full Slurpee today. At least it will bring me two days of happiness until Punxsutawney Phil spoils my joy by telling me we are going to get six more weeks of winter.

No more free ride at Starbucks
January 14th, 2025 under Fast Food. [ Comments: 1 ]

For the last few years, Starbucks has had an open-door policy. That meant that you were able to sit in the coffee shop or use the bathroom without purchasing anything. But that will no longer be the case starting on January 27th.

Starbucks now says, “We want to ensure our spaces are prioritized for use by our customers. Our Coffeehouse Code of Conduct is something most retailers have and is designed to provide clarity that our spaces – including our cafes, patios and restrooms – are for use by customers and partners.”

So, if you want to use the wireless or toilet for free, that is no longer the case. You are going to have to order something in order to use their facilities.

“We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in our stores,” Starbucks spokesperson Jaci Anderson said. “By setting clear expectations for behavior and use of our spaces, we can create a better environment for everyone.”

Well, everyone who pays!

Have you ever wished that there was Pop-Tarts donut from Krispy Kreme?
January 6th, 2025 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

Who said wishes don’t come true? Because they do.

Don’t believe me? Well, today, Krispy Kreme announced that they joined forces with Pop-Tarts to create three donuts.

  • Pop-Tarts® Frosted Strawberry Doughnut: an unglazed shell doughnut filled with strawberry filling, dipped in shortbread icing, and topped with shortbread pieces, sugar sprinkles, strawberry filling drizzle and a Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts® Bites piece.
  • Pop-Tarts® Frosted Chocolatey Fudge Doughnut: an Original Glazed® Doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with brownie batter flavored buttercreme, crushed Frosted Chocolatey Fudge Pop-Tarts® Bites and white nonpareils.
  • Pop-Tarts® Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Doughnut: a cinnamon sugar doughnut topped with brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese flavored buttercreme and a Frosted Cinnamon Roll Pop-Tarts® Bites piece.

“Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts are coming together for the very first time – you know the result will be Crazy Good,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme Chief Growth Officer. “Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts fans will love kicking off the year with this delicious collaboration!”

I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait to try all three of them because they sound scrumptious.

The Krispy Tarts are available starting today for a limited time, unfortunately.

Sabrina Carpenter and Dunkin’ team up for an Espresso drink!
December 30th, 2024 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

File this under, I can’t believe someone did not think of this earlier.

Back in April, Sabrina Carpenter released her chart-topping single, Espresso, that became the song of the summer. So, you would think one of the coffee or donut shops would have released a coffee drink with her before now. But they didn’t.

Dunkin’ announced today that they teamed up with the singer for a drink! The Sabrina Carpenter’s Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso is freshly hand-shaken behind the counter in a dedicated espresso shaker. The drink brings bold espresso, creamy oat milk, and brown sugar notes in a smooth, frothy sip, ready to energize guests’ daily routine in the new year.

“When we first dreamed up Sabrina’s Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso at Dunkin’, it had to be more than another delicious drink on the menu — we wanted to bring some levity to guests’ everyday coffee order,” said Jill McVicar Nelson, Chief Marketing Officer at Dunkin’. “Working with one of America’s most beloved pop stars, Sabrina Carpenter, adds a spirited, fresh energy that perfectly aligns with Dunkin’s love of bold taste and good-natured fun. Through our new ad campaign, we’re showing guests that their new drink order can be both delicious and a wink at embracing life’s lighter side — exactly what Dunkin’ is all about.”

I betcha that Starbucks, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and Krispy Kreme are kicking themselves for not thinking of this earlier.

The Sabrina Carpenter’s Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso is available to order starting tomorrow.
