They left their international house and went to the Santa Monica Pier to get themselves in the Guinness Book of World Records. They wanted to get the title of Most Pancakes in an Eight-Hour period.
The pancake giant set a goal of serving 20,000 pancakes between 9a-5p. They not only reached that goal, but they exceeded it. By the end of the day, they handed out 25,629 pancakes to break the record.
I am sure every person who cooked those flapjacks will never want cook or see one ever again.
While they will not want to see any more pancakes, IHOP is hoping you do. Because from 7a-8p today, patrons will get a free buttermilk short stack.
IHOP was not the only winner on Saturday; they donated $1 to Feeding America for every pancake that was served. That means the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank will have an extra $25,629 to serve the people who need their service. In the words of Charlie Sheen, “Winning!””
Have you ever been to Starbucks and been like they have too many drinks to choose from? Starting on March 4th, they will be removing 13 from their menu.
“As part of our plan to get back to Starbucks, we’re simplifying our menu to focus on fewer, more popular items, executed with excellence,” Starbucks tells TODAY.com. “This will make way for innovation, help reduce wait times, improve quality and consistency, and align with our core identity as a coffee company.”
The unlucky 13 are:
Iced Matcha Lemonade: As an alternative, Starbucks recommends trying its Green Tea Lemonade, which shares similar citrus and grassy flavors.
Espresso Frappuccino, Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino: Instead, Starbucks suggests the Coffee Frappuccino, which features a blend of coffee, milk and ice. This beverage can also be customized to add a shot of espresso or pump of syrup.
White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino: As a substitute, Starbucks says to try its Mocha Frappuccino.
Java Chip Frappuccino: Instead, Starbucks suggests the Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino, which contains chocolate bits with a similar texture.
Chai Crème Frappuccino, Caramel Ribbon Crunch Crème Frappuccino, Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino, Chocolate Cookie Crumble Crème Frappuccino and White Chocolate Crème Frappuccino: As an alternative, Starbucks suggests the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino, which can be customized with flavorings, or the Strawberry Frappuccino.
White Hot Chocolate: As a substitute, Starbucks says its Hot Chocolate can be customized with Mocha or White Chocolate Mocha sauce.
Royal English Breakfast Latte: Instead, Starbucks recommends its London Fog Latte, which has similar sweet floral notes.
Honey Almondmilk Flat White: As an alternative, Starbucks suggests the Flat White, which can be customized with any nondairy milk and sweetener of choice.
These are just the first drinks to go to Starbucks Heaven, more will be added in the future. When they are done doing an Elon Musk, they will have shrunk their menu by about 30%.
The news is not all bad. The coffee restaurant will be announcing their Spring drinks soon.
It is Girl Scout Cookie season, and that means there are little girls (and their parents) trying to sell you a few boxes.
However, you don’t want one because you still have cookies left over from last year. But you really want a Thin Mint cookie. What to do?
Go to Wendy’s! Starting today, the hamburger joint is selling chocolate and vanilla Thin Mint Frostys for a limited time.
“Seeing our iconic Thin Mints paired with Wendy’s Frosty is a testament to the power of the Cookie Program and millions of Girl Scouts who have made Thin Mints so popular,” said Wendy Lou, Chief Revenue Officer of GSUSA. “We are so thankful for the support from thousands of Wendy’s franchisees who are giving our girls the opportunity to have cookie booths at their restaurants where they can put their entrepreneurial prowess to use.”
So, you can go to Wendy’s and get your fix. But be careful because the cookie dealers will be camped outside. And it will be so hard to resist buying a few boxes when you have the taste in your mouth.

I don’t know about you, but after I watch a Lifetime movie, all I want is a margarita. I am sure I am not the only one.
Actually, I know others feel the same way as I do because Chili’s teamed up with Lifetime to create a mini-movie to promote Margarita Day on February 22nd.
“As the margarita experts, National Margarita Day is the most important holiday of the year at Chili’s, but we were all surprised that no feel-good stories have been made around this incredible holiday,” said George Felix, Chili’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Lifetime is known for its beloved, iconic holiday programs, so there is no better partner to finally give National Margarita Day the attention it deserves. What better way to celebrate than with the holiday’s biggest television event and Chili’s signature margaritas.”
So, on February 19th at 10p, you can tune into the movie network to watch the 15-minute event, I’ll be Home for National Margarita Day.
Margaritas aren’t the only thing being shaken up in Ferguson Falls, a small town where National Margarita Day is the biggest event of the year, with Chili’s at the heart of the festivities. The short tells the story of Liz (Maria Menounos) and Sam (Taye Diggs), former love interests who are reunited at the local Chili’s when Liz returns to her hometown, desperate to escape the big city’s overpriced margaritas. Everything seems perfect until a big-city developer’s plans to build condos threatens to ruin the town’s National Margarita Day traditions. Liz and Sam must work together to stop the developer and save National Margarita Day, rekindling their relationship in the process.
I am a sucker for films like this, so I will be tuning in. Then, I will celebrate the holiday three days later at the Mexican restaurant. Who is with me?
Fun fact: Chili’s is the largest seller of Margaritas of the brand restaurants. How many do they sell in a year? A total of 25 million! That is a lot of tequila!
On a serious note, I hope that more companies do collaborations with studios/networks to promote their businesses. I think it is a fun way to get the word out.
