Elton John postpones his final tour again |

Back in January 2018, Elton John announced that he was going to do one more world tour, and then he was going to retire from the road.
He started the tour and then came COVID-19. That put his plans on hold indefinitely.
Since then, John revealed that something happened to him, and today he announced that he will have to postpone his tour again.
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I am forced to reschedule the 2021 dates of my Farewell Yellow Brick Road four in Europe and the UK to 2023.
At the end of my summer break I fell awkwardly on a hard surface and have been in considerable pain and discomfort in my hip ever since. Despite intensive physio and specialist treatment, the pain has continued to get worse and is leading to increasing difficulties moving. I have been advised to have an operation as soon as possible to get me back to full fitness and make sure there are no long-term complications. I will be undertaking a program of intensive physiotherapy that will ensure a full recovery and a return to full mobility without pain.
I know how patient my incredible fans have been since Covid halted touring last year, and it breaks my heart to keep you waiting any longer. I completely feel your frustrations after the year we’ve had. I promise you this – the shows will return to the road next year and I will make sure they are more than worth the wait.
Knowing the show he puts on; I am sure it will be worth the wait. He is someone that I think everyone should see live at least once. There is only one Elton, so go see him while you can during the longest farewell tour in music history.

Ed Sheeran shared a behind-the-scenes photo from his music video Shivers, that comes out on Friday, and I could not get over how much he looks like Elton John. It made me realize that Sheeran is this generation’s Elton.
They are both music men who keep putting out tunes we can’t stop listening to. The only difference is one tickles the ivories, and the other one strums a guitar. Other than that, they are both lyrical geniuses.
Too bad Sheeran is not on John’s upcoming duet album. Could you imagine what it would be like if they sang Your Song together? It would be extravagant.

Elton John is releasing a new album on October 22nd. The Lockdown Sessions contains 16 songs, and they are all duets. You would think he would have people on it like Billy Joel and Billie Eilish. While he doesn’t have two Billies on it, he does have two Stevies and a Charlie and a Miley and an Eddie and a Nicki and a Brandi and a Jimmie. That is a lot of people whose names end with an e-sound.

There are some really interesting corroborations on this record. If they are as good as his song with Dua Lipa, I can’t wait to hear the rest of it. I mean, Elton doing Metallica? Even Metallica is like, WTF? It can go one of two ways; it is either totally rockin’ or complete trash.

We know of five of Courteney Cox’s Friends. However, this weekend, she got together with three different ones to sing a song for one of those five.
Back on that sitcom she did, Lisa Kudrow’s character thought that Elton John was singing Hold Me Closer Tony Danza instead of Tiny Dancer. So this weekend, Cox asked John, Ed Sheeran, and Brandi Carlile to sing Phoebe Buffay’s version of it.

The Halloween spirit takes over Elton John |

We are still a few days away from Halloween, but Elton John is celebrating now. He dressed up as Prince, got behind his piano for a family affair as he performed his 1972 hit Crocodile Rock with his husband, David Furnish, and their two crocs, Elijah, 7, and Zachary, 9.
Do you know how so many celebrities release Christmas albums? I think John should do a Halloween one. Out of all of the singers out there, he is the most like the holiday. Well, after Marilyn Manson, but the latter is the scary version of one. John is the feel-good one of the spooky season.
Now let’s talk about his two rarely seen boys; they are so precious. I hope they grow to be just like their dad!
