Tim Kring let it slip at G4 that Eli Roth will direct and write one of the Heroes Origin episodes. Eli Roth promised on his blog, "I promise I won’t hurt The Cheerleader!" Ummm I thought The Cheerleader couldn't be hurt Eli Roth? Roth is the second big name hired to work on one of the Origins, the first was Kevin Smith. I can't wait to see what they all do with these Heroes Origins episodes!!!

Eli Roth has the biggest d!ck in Hollywood" is the name of that picture! And not since Boogie Nights has a prosthetic pen!s made such an impact. Eli Roth posed for that photo with that huge peepee for Lion's Gates' marketing executive and photographer, Tim Palen for a book he is doing Guts: The Art of Marketing Horror Films. The book features his creepiest work and I am dying (no pun) to read it. Palen told NY Magazine how the picture came about: How'd this happen? We were shooting some publicity stuff in this cheesy hotel for Hostel 2 — then I just whipped that thing out of a box! Eli just said, "Oh, my god…" But I think he likes it too. Where'd you get it? I had K.N.B. Effects build it for me. I said, "I want a 24-inch devil-d!ck for Eli Roth." They did the effects for Hostel. And Narnia.
I have always had a secret crush on Eli Roth, but after seeing that picture that crush is solidified! Dang!!! I so have Cabin Fever for him! Page Six said when they shot this poster they shot it in an apartment with the window open and the blinds up and people were able to look as Bijou Phillips posed. But Bijou didn’t mind because she is an exhibitionist.
Eli Roth has been pushing the envelope with the posters for this movie. The first one looks like someone insides and now this one of a topless and headless Bijou. Hopefully the movie will push the envelope like his other movies Cabin Fever and Hostel! Which I am sure it will.

What can I say? I am the fucking luckiest director on the planet to have Lionsgate marketing my film. I saw the teaser poster last week and my jaw was on the ground. It’s truly one of the most beautiful posters I’ve ever seen. It actually reminded me of one of my mother’s oil paintings, but with a dash of Joel-Peter Witkin thrown in there. It’s macabre and creepy and it tells you everything about the movie without giving anything away. And this week we got approved by the MPAA. This is the teaser poster for Hostel Part II. I know I said I’d be blogging over at MTV.com, and I swear I am, I just haven’t had a moment to write anything yet. I’ve been in the editing room every day, except for last week when I did a photo shoot with Tim Palen, who’s the co-president of marketing at Lionsgate, and the genius who did all the posters on the first Hostel and photographed the meat for Hostel Part II. We shot some really bizarre stuff which I can’t leak out yet, but at some point I will.
I am so fucking happy with how the film’s looking. A lot of people have been e-mailing me asking about the release date, and yes, it’s June 8th. It was never January 5th. I know that date got ‘announced’ but that doesn’t mean anything, it was never a reality. The plan was always to have the movie done around April/May, so June 8th is a perfect date. I’m really, really happy with how it’s cutting together and that’s all I can say.

 Earlier this year, when Eli Roth’s HOSTEL hit the undesirable release month of January, everyone was blown away about how successful it ended up being- and for an R rated horror film to boot! Now with a sequel yet-to-be-released, Lionsgate isn’t taking any chances, and has landed some prime release date real estate. Yes, HOSTEL: PART II finally has an official release date, and it is…. June 8th, 2007! You read that straight, PART II is going up against the big-doggs of summer in competition for some box office gold. And what timing too, as the week after that the FANTASTIC FOUR sequel hits, followed by EVAN ALMIGHTY and muthaf*ckin’ John McClane in LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD the week after that. Yes, while the summer is shaping up to be yet another summer of sequels, at least this summer we’re getting some genre love up in the mix. And you know PART II is going to kill the box office- especially since it went with an all hotties cast this time around.
