Two weeks ago, NBC announced their Fall schedule and they said This Is Us was moving to Thursdays at 10p. Then today, they decided to move it back to Tuesdays at 9p. Due to the scheduling change, Chicago Fire gets a new day and time period for the first time in its run. It is moving to Thursdays to 10p. Personally, I think that they should have kept Fire at 10p on Tuesdays and moved Law & Order: True Crime and Chicago Med to Thursdays at 10p. But what do I know, I just watch these TV shows and liked them where they were.
What do you think of the changes? I know ABC and CBS are loving it because now How to Get Away with Murder and SWAT are no longer up against TV’s most buzzed about show. Granted, ABC is probably worried for Black-ish and The Mayor, now that they are up against it. When it comes to Fox, I wonder if they are thinking about switching Lethal Weapon to 9p and The Mick and Brooklyn Nine-Nine to 8p. It seems smarter to have their drama go up against the powerhouse as compared to their comedies. Don’t you agree?
Out of all the actors on Chicago PD, the only one whose name I know is Sophia Bush. Now I know none of them because Deadline is reporting she left the show. The season 4 finale hinted she might be leaving and today it was made official. No reason was given, but the article says, “The Chicago P.D. set had been described as a tough environment for a female performer.”
Since the police procedural is not for me and I like her, I cannot wait to see where she winds up next. Personally, I liked when she tried her hand at comedy with Partners. She deserves to be on a show that will treat her with the respect she deserves.
Talking about Dick Wolf dramas, I wonder who if anyone is leaving Chicago Fire and/or Chicago Med because their season finales hinted not everyone might be back. They better not let Oliver Platt leave because he makes that great show even better.

Even though NBC started the season with four Chicago shows from Dick Wolf, it is starting next with only three. That is because they cancelled Chicago Justice. I had high hopes for the show because I like legal dramas, but this was more like Chicago PD. I can’t watch the latter, therefore I can’t watch the former.

Tonight at 9p, it is time for Bones’ second to last ever episode on Fox. What better way to celebrate 12 great seasons than with a wedding. It finally time for Cam (Tamara Taylor) and Arastoo (Pej Vahdat) to say I do. The episode goes back and forth in time between the wedding and an event that comes right afterwards.
Even though Cam and Arastoo should be on their honeymoon, they are called back in to Jeffersonian the morning after their nuptials. A body has come in and everything is wrong. Bones (Emily Deschanel) doesn’t know who he is but she knows two men escaped from jail. Is he the man who killed her father and wants to kill her family? Or is the man who escaped with him? They will all work hard to find out who he is and that is only the beginning of their nightmare.
When Cam’s ID goes missing, they realize it was used and it wasn’t by her. What did that thief leave behind in the lab? Something that sets things up for the series finale next week.

Then at 10p on NBC, there is a gang war going on near Chicago Fire and the members seek refuge in the fire station. Well refuge might not be the word because they hold everyone in the fire house hostage. One of the members is shot and they force Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) to try to save his life. Something that is not easy to do when their guns pointed at your head. Severide (Taylor Kinney) was somewhere else when the hostage takers came in and he was able to call the police. Making things more tense inside when they finally show up to rescue our guys.
Will everyone get alive? Let’s just say one fireman will be shot, one suffers a heart attack and one gets beaten up. All leading to a dramatic ending to this very intense episode that will keep you on the edge of your seat from the beginning until the very end. You don’t want to miss this exciting episode because it is the best one of the season and they have had some really good one.

Tonight at 9p, Law & Order: SVU is reaching a milestone that only a handful of shows have done. It is airing its 400th episode. The show that premiered on September 20, 1999 is in its 18th season and does not look like it is going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, it needs just 57 more episodes and 2 more seasons to top it predecessor Law & Order and I think it will be able to do it and keep going way past that.
But will its original star Mariska Hargitay be around for episode 401? Tonight’s monumental show deals with Detective Benson being surrounded by people who are retiring and are happy that they did it. Will hearing their experiences make her decide to quit the SVU unit? You will have to tune in for another great episode that proves why this police procedural is 400 episode in and still going strong. Maybe even stronger than ever.
