Chicago Med is back on NBC tonight and not everyone is going to make it to the credits tonight. The episode starts off with Will (Nick Gehlfuss) rushing a bloodied Natalie (Torrey DeVitto) into the ER after their car accident. She is unresponsive and doctors are doing all they can to save her. Will looks like he is OK, but turns out he was more injured than anyone thought.
Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) is dealing with his dad’s death and the hospital thinks it is murder. Because of the relationship he had with his father, they think he did it. They start an investigation and he is their #1 suspect.
Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) is not dealing with the fact that she has cancer and it has metastasized. Sharon (S. Epatha Merkerson) insists that she gets it looked at. Turns out nurses are just as bad patients as doctors.
Finally, Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) comes back after his wedding to his dying ex-wife to help everyone through the madness. Little did he know he was going to also help everyone deal with a death of one of their own.
Who dies? You know I cannot tell you! But I can tell you it is worth the watch.
Then at 9p on Chicago Fire, the show picks up with them still fighting the fire from the season finale. One of their own is critically injured and they are not going to survive. That person’s death is going to rock the firehouse. Their death will mean something different to all of them, and they will all handle it differently.
To make matters worse, headquarters is going to see if Casey (Jesse Spencer) acted criminally during the fire. They will launch an investigation, what will they find out?
Get the tissues ready because you are going to need them for a heart-wrenching episode.

If you want to laugh, then you are going to want to tune in for The Masked Singer. Tonight at 8p, the first 8 singers are going to sing and two will be unmasked.
The competition starts off with the Butterfly vs the Egg and the Skeleton vs the Thingamajig. The loser of each battle will go up against each other and one will be revealed.
After that reveal it is time for the Ladybug vs the Rottweiler (my cat’s favorite) and the Tree vs the Ice Cream. Like the first round, one of them will take off their costume for the last time.
While the 8 of them show us that they can really sing, the judges: Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, Nichole Scherzinger and Jenny McCarthy try to guess who is underneath those totally awesome masks. At one point, someone guesses Marshmallow and the other judges are like how would we know what he is looks because he already wears a mask.
The clues are harder, but I suck at guessing. Although, I think I know who one of them is. However. I am sure I am wrong because I never get it right until midway through the show.
Will you do better than me? Tune in for a show where the singers are just as amazing as what they are wearing. On that note, host Nick Cannon is wearing diamond shoes that are worth $2.4 million. The contestants who can barely see anything in those oversized heads, better make sure not to step on his feet. It will cost them more than to fix his shoes than what they are getting paid to be on the show.
The Resident moves to its new night tonight at 8p on Fox and it takes place a month after the season finale.
Nic (Emily VanCamp) is still dealing with the loss of her family member. In the season finale, her father gave her sister his kidney. The surgeries did not go as smoothly as expected. Therefore, only one survived and we find out who. The loss is so devastating to her that she cannot even step into the hospital. Tonight she goes back for the first time.
Not on a good day. As soon as she walks in, there is an explosion in the basement. Little does she know that Conrad (Matt Czuchry) went down to the basement looking for a lost little boy. Together the two of them and another person are caught in the explosion. Will Nic lose someone else she loves?
Meanwhile, Dr. Bell (Bruce Greenwood) is dealing with the hospital being sold to a conglomerate. They made him take on Barrett Cain (Morris Chestnut) neurosurgeon, who has an ego that puts them all to shame. As we know, no one has a bigger ego than Bell. At least we used to know.
Chastain General is going through a lot of changes this season. I cannot wait to see them play out.

Then at 9p, Empire begins its final season. It will be a figuratively explosive one. The show picks up months after the season finale.
Lucious (Terrence Howard) is in hiding and has a new look. Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) is on a View like show. Andre (Trai Byers) is running Empire but someone comes in claim their stake. He does not want this person there.
The Lyons are trying to figure out who they are without their leader. However, how long can he stay away? Do they need him?
You are just going to have to tune in for a season where anything can happen. Anything but Jussie Smollett coming back to the show this season.

Also at 9p, is FBI that starts off with a Muslim restaurant getting bombed. The case hits close to home for Omar (Zeeko Zaki) who used to eat there all the time as a kid. This is his community in more ways than one.
When an FBI agent comes to him and tells him that there is going to be another attack, he has to go undercover to stop it. Since this is close to him, he will make a mistake. One that could cost him his job.
The episode also looks at what Muslims in America have been dealing with since 9/11. Something they handle very responsibly.
Tune in for an emotional season premiere that really makes people think.
NBC announced today that it picked up Law & Order: SVU for a 21st season. That makes it the longest-running primetime live-action series in television history. Beating the record that Gunsmoke held since 1975. This is the second record that Gunsmoke lost this year, The Simpsons took the title of most episodes produced by a scripted show away. Poor Gunsmoke, their records are going up in, well, gunsmoke.
But this is not about the Western, it is about the Special Victims Unit of the New York City Police Department, an elite squad of detectives who investigate crimes of sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence.
One of those detectives is Lt. Oliva Benson and she is the longest-running female character in a primetime live-action series. Which is hard to believe because Mariska Hargitay has not aged a day since the show debuted in 1999. What is her secret?
Congrats to all involved. Celebrate it like you just turned 21 all over again. Which means ending the night worshiping the porcelain Gd.
Two of the biggest West Coast Rappers are working on a project together on the East Coast. Ice T revealed today that Snoop Dogg is guest starring on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU. Ice T did not say if Snoop is a good guy or a bad one on the NBC procedural, but he says it is titled Diss. I am sure it will be the shiznit and nothing to diss.
It is amazing that the two men, who have had their run-ins with the law, are working on a cop show. The irony is not lost on me. It also shows people do change.
It just dawned on me, when I was trying to figure out if they worked together before, that I interviewed both of them on the red carpet for Flavor Flav’s Comedy Central Roast.
We all know the theme song to Law & Order, but can you dance to it like the one from Friends? That is what Jimmy Fallon wanted to find out. Therefore, he sent The Tonight Show crew down to Rockefeller Plaza and asked some of the tourists to give it try.
Turns out you can. You can do The Floss, breakdancing, ballet and so much more to that beat. Maybe NBC should change up the opening to Law & Order: SVU dick next season and show Ice-T and Mariska Hargitay busting a move to it. How amazing would that be?
What other theme songs do you wonder if people could dance to it too?
