After months of speculation that Will & Grace was coming back for another season, NBC finally made it official today. That’s right Will & Grace & Jack & Karen aka Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullaly will all be back next season for 10 episodes 11 years after it went off the air. When Will it Grace our televisions again is yet to be determined but they are coming back so who cares when. Unless they do a Coach. Remember that revival that didn’t happen?
What should NBC do next? I say in the era, they should bring back Family Ties with Alex P Keaton raising his teens who are die hard Democrats! How awesome would that be?
Back to Will & Grace Jennifer Salke, President of NBC Entertainment, explained how it happened, “We started talking with (Max) Mutchnick and (David) Kohan about producing new episodes right after they shot the secret reunion show back in September, and the fact that all four of the original stars were excited about getting back into production is a testament to the joyful experience they had doing nearly 200 episodes for eight seasons. Few things cut through the clutter these days, especially in comedy, and ‘Will and Grace’ is one of the best.”
Therefore casts of shows who want to come back, all you need to do is shoot a secret reunion and create a lot of buzz about it. C’mon Queer as Folk, let’s do this!!!
Last week, people were buzzing over the fact that Leslie Jordan confirmed on a radio show that Will & Grace was coming back for a 10 episode revival on NBC. But then Debra Messing crushed our dreams and said they were just in talks.
Well today, Leslie Jordan took to Facebook to tell us the lamb has been silenced. He said, “I was told in no uncertain terms to ZIP IT about the return of a certain series I once won an Emmy.”
But that wasn’t the only thing his mouth got him in trouble with during that interview. He claims that declaration got him big trouble with Joan Collins’ husband, “Then there is the threatened lawsuit from Percy Gibson because I dispareged the reputation of his wife, Miss Joan Collins, by insinuating I was hired on the aforementioned series because Miss Collins refused to let her wig be pulled off.” Wait she wears a wig? Looks real to me.
Do I think this will be the last we hear from Jordan, hell no! Unless someone sends Betty White over to his house with a frying pan! Only true fans will get the reference.
For months the cast of Will & Grace has been teasing us that there is going to be a revival of their hit sitcom on NBC. Recently, Leslie Jordan, who won an Emmy for his role on the show, seemed to confirm it. He told KPBS, “It’s back! NBC has ordered…10.” Then he added, “It will be for next season and it will go in in July. And then they will add the guest cast.”
Only problem with Jordan’s confirmation, no one told Debra Messing about it. When someone asked her if it is true, she Tweeted back, “Sadly Leslie was wrong. Nothing beyond talks.”
I just wish they would say yea or nay already because I am so sick of is it happening or not. Just make it official already. Who is with me?
I think we call admit that this Presidential election has been a real pain in the neck and that is exactly the case for Debra Messing. The Will & Grace star was seen wearing a neck brace while traveling with Hillary Clinton on the final leg of her tour.
So why did she swap out necklaces for the white choker? She revealed that she was in a car accident in Los Angeles and suffered a sprained neck. But she wasn’t going to let that stop her from campaigning for her favorite candidate.
The cast of Will & Grace got together to support Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman at their comedy show and they haven’t aged since the sitcom debuted in 1998. I seriously wasn’t sure if this photo of Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Mullally and Sean Hayes was shot in 2016 or 1998 because they still look the same. Ageing has been very kind to them, don’t you think?
