On January 29th at 9p Syfy is going to debut the future classic Mega Python vs Gatorid starring Tiffany and Debbie Gibson and I can’t f*cking wait for it. When we saw the clip of the two rumored to be rival ’80s pop darlings having a cat fight, I knew the movie was going to be tubular. But now that we have seen these three new clips from it, I know it going to be most awesome. And what will make it even more to the max would be a drinking game, so here is one…every time we see Tiffany’s Cleveland drink once and every time she cries drink twice. When Syfy releases more scenes with Debbie Gibson, I will come up with some for her too.
I have said this before and I will say it again, if this movie doesn’t win the Emmy for Best Television Movie it will be a travesty!!!
The most anticipated movie of 2011 just got an air date, so set your DVRs on January 29th to record Mega Python vs Gatoroid on Syfy at 9p. That’s right you can finally see Tiffany and Debbie Gibson cat fight and get all wet as they do it.
Here is how Syfy described the future Emmy winner for best TV Movie:
A production of The Asylum, Mega Python Vs Gatoroid takes an up-close-and-personal look at the crisis in the Florida Everglades where invasive Burmese pythons are threatening the indigenous alligator population. Gibson portrays a fanatical animal rights advocate who spends her evenings “liberating†illegally imported exotic snakes from pet stores and setting them free in the Everglades, where the pythons grow and thrive.
Tiffany plays an over-zealous park ranger worried about the growing ecological damage. To save her beloved alligators, she’s willing to employ dubious methods, overdosing them with steroids so they grow mega, setting off a war between the species – and putting her on a collision course with Gibson.
Seriously if this doesn’t get an Emmy nom next year, I won’t watch it. What more do you need for the perfect movie?
BTW another breakthrough for this movie is that it is the first time a woman has directed a Syfy original Saturday night movie. So hats off to Mary Lambert for directing the ’80s pop icons who will finally battle it out. Something we have been waiting 20 years to see!
At this point I am Team Tiffany, but I loved Debbie Gibson’s perfume Electric Dreams. What team are you on?
SyFy has released a scene from Mega Python vs Gatoroid and I think the movie starring Tiffany and Debbie Gibson is going to be a Mega hit. I Think that Generation X guys should watch it Alone because they just had their wet Electric Dreams come true seeing the two ’80s teen queens battle it out like that and end up all wet. You know they have been waiting over 20 years to see the rumored rivals have a Mega cat fight like that.
Seriously I knew this movie was going to be good, but after watching that scene it looks like it is going to be better than I ever thought it could be! I just wish we didn’t have to wait until next year to see the movie premiere on SyFy!
Before Tiffany was performing in malls, she was singing on Star Search. Can you believe after that performance in 1985 that the 13 year old singer came in second on the show?
’80s teen queens Tiffany and Debbie Gibson are filming Mega Python vs. Gatoroid and you so know that movie will be an instant cult classic when it airs on SyFy next year!!! Up until now we have only heard about it, and now thanks for the Electric Youth singer we are seeing the two of them together. Debbie Gibson Tweeted a picture of her rumored rival and her together and they looks so great in that photo. Seriously doesn’t the 39 year old blonde and the 38 year old red head look as good as they did when they first entered the charts back in 1987? In fact it looks as though the I Think We’re Alone Now singer has lost some weight without the help of Celebrity Fit Club. It is really evident in the photo Tiffany Tweeted with “3 real baby alligators! SOO FLIPPING CUTE!” Those 3 baby gators really are flipping cute, just no way you can get me to hold them like that.
Now that we have seen the two pop idols on the set of Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, I am even more excited. I really wish SyFy would push a rush on it and air this year as compared to next.
BTW SyFy has a cast a ’60s pop idol in the movie, The Monkees Micky Dolenz is joining in to fight the reptilians with the two ladies.
