Rob Lowe was on (one of the last) The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien yesterday and he told the soon-to-be-departing late night host that “this actor” James Van Der Beek robbed him of home run at a celebrity baseball game at Dodgers Stadium a few months ago. Lowe said that he hit this amazing pitch, he was running the bases and that even though the Dawson’s Creek star who jumped and caught the ball, actually didn’t. The Brothers & Sisters star said the ball was rolling around on the floor and that JVDB picked it up and was like I caught it. So when Conan asked Lowe if Van Deek was a liar, he responded with, “He’s a liar…but a damn good actor.”
Well James Van Der Beek didn’t take that interview lying down on the field and he Tweeted the below photos with those captions. After looking at those pictures are you Team Lowe or Team Van Der Beek? Even though I am normally Team Lowe, I am Team Van Der Beek on this one!!!
BTW on a side note…I am Team Conan all the way!!!
This is me about to Rob Mr. Lowe of his home run…
I have no excuse for how stupid an act this really was… but I’ve chosen to blame Tommy Lasorda.
If you look closely, you’ll see the ball still in my glove… and my common sense nowhere to be found.
Anthony Kiedis was there to verify… as was the guy in the floral trunks.
Most people wouldn’t risk their life just to beat Rob Lowe in a charity game… but maybe they should.
James Van Der Beek and his wife of almost 6 years, Heather McComb have separated according to Us Weekly. Not much more is known except that they split two months ago. Who knew or cared he was married in the first place?
Tom Kapinos, who was a show runner on Dawson's Creek and now works on Showtime's Californication, is speaking out about his former-show and its stars and let's just what he has to say about them isn't very nice according to Watch with Kristin!.
In talking about the genesis of Californication, Tom explained: "The idea came out of my own misery of working on Dawson's Creek. I came out here to write screenplays, and I ended up on Dawson's Creek, which was very lucrative and fun, but it was not what I wanted to do."
"The experience was miserable," he continued about Dawson's. "But it was a four-year boot camp. It was like going to TV grad school and learning how to run a television show. Anybody on that show who could make a decision was allowed to run it at some point. I inherited the very awkward college years, and I almost ran the show into the ground. But I learned everything that I needed to know about how to run a show."
When the panel moderator asked, "What was it specifically that made it such a challenge?" Tom dropped this bomb: "It was the four monstrous actors at the core of it."
The audience erupted in laughter as Tom continued, saying: "They were very young, and they got very famous, and they made life miserable for any writer or producer on the show."
Wow, now I completely understand the bitterness about Californication. Dang, sounds like it was the wrong show for him. I don't know why I feel the need to defend Katie Holmes, James Van Der Beek, Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams, but it doesn't only happen to young stars become famous so fast because I have heard other show runners say the same thing.
Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger were walking in Manhattan and in one of the pictures he put his hand on her belly like that. Which makes me wonder do they have something tell us or was he trying to tell her to wait and let traffic go by? What do you think?
These are my favortie 5 costumes from last night. Kyle McLaughlin as a tanorexic, Pink as a rag doll, Bette Midler as a butcher, James Van Der Beek because he looks awful and finally Heid Klum who always goes all out for Halloween!!!
