Comedy Central has picked up "The Showbiz Show With David Spade" for a third season. Additionally, Spade has joined the cast of CBS’ midseason comedy series "Rules of Engagement." Comedy Central has ordered 13 new episodes of "Showbiz Show." The half-hour weekly comedic parody of the entertainment industry is slated to launch its third season in February. Spade said he was "stoked" to be back for a third season. "I want to get back on the air as quickly as possible so that we don’t miss out," he said. "There is too much good stuff going on right now in Hollywood. We have to catch up." "Rules" revolves around an engaged couple (Bianca Kajlich, Oliver Hudson), a married couple (Patrick Warburton, Megyn Price) and a happily single guy (Greg Pitts). Spade will play the engaged man’s best friend. Spade’s last-minute addition to the cast of "Rules" is reminiscent of his first stint in a primetime comedy series. In 1997, he was a late addition to another new midseason sitcom, NBC’s "Just Shoot Me!" He was added to the cast of the workplace comedy after the original pilot already had been shot and went on to become one of the main characters on the long-running show. His series credits also include a role on ABC’s "8 Simple Rules."

Heather Locklear and David Spade have laughed off rumors they are dating, despite recently wowing diners in West Hollywood by "kissing like a couple of teens." The pair was first spotted in a romantic clinch soon after the actress filed for divorce from Richie Sambora at an afterparty for Spade’s "Showbiz Show."

And although they have also been seen frolicking on Malibu Beach together and sharing dinner dates, a pal of the pair insists they were just "goofing off."

A friend of Locklear’s said, "Heather and David were just goofing off; the whole thing was blown out of proportion. They were joking around and hamming it up, and the next thing you know, people are saying they’re together."

The couple have dismissed reports they’re an item, despite meeting for romantic liaisons, and wowing diners at select restaurants with their outward show of affection. The couple were most recently spotted at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles, where onlookers claim they acted like "lovestruck teenagers, holding hands and giggling throughout their meal," according to American magazine Life + Style. And although Spade’s publicists are refusing to comment on the romance, the JOE DIRT star has reportedly told pals, "I’m so in love it’s ridiculous. Never in my life did I think I’d be with someone so gorgeous and successful." According to friends, Spade intends to propose to Locklear during an upcoming summer break at his Malibu, California, beach house. The actor reportedly told one pal, "She knows I’m going to ask. It’s all about timing." Locklear’s divorce from BON JOVI guitarist Sambora is expected to be finalised in August (06). The actress filed for divorce from the rocker in February (06). Sambora is currently dating former BOND girl DENISE RICHARDS.
