You have all heard that Eric Stoltz originally played Martin McFly when Back to the Future started filming, but then he was replaced by Michael J Fox. What we didn’t know up until now is that they always had Fox in mind for the role, but his Family Ties EP Gary Goldberg wouldn’t let Alex P Keaton time off to film the movie according to what he told David Letterman. So Fox wound up filming Teen Wolf instead. Well when things didn’t work out for the red headed actor, Fox stepped into those famous sneakers.
So I wonder if Fox could go into the DeLorean today if he would go back to the day when Goldberg nixed his part in the film and make sure he had it from the get. But if he did that than that would probably mean he never would’ve done Teen Wolf and that role might’ve gone to Eric Stoltz instead. So if Stoltz played Teen Wold, would that mean that Jason Bateman never would’ve done Teen Wolf 2. And if Bateman never did that movie, what else would we never have seen him? I guess the Butterfly Effect would change so much of what we have gotten to known…
David Arquette, the biggest male star to do Dancing with the Stars this season, sizes up his competition tonight on The Late Show on CBS at 11:35p. When I say sizes up competition, I mean he told David Letterman about Rob Kardashian’s “fantastic butt!” And you know what he is right! It is like half watermelon’s in his slacks!
BTW I never realized what an awful laugh the Scream star has. Seriously isn’t it like a nervous girl laughing at the bad joke the cute guy in school just told her?
Yesterday Ashton Kutcher was on The Late Show with David Letterman and for the first time he talked about his role on Two and a Half Men. Well as much as he can talk about it because CBS wants to keep as much as they can secret until the show debuts on September 19th. Letterman tried to get as much as he can out of him, but Ashton acted like the fatwa was on him instead if he said too much and said very little.
After the CBS host realized he wouldn’t reveal anything, he asked Mr Demi Moore what it is like working on the show. When Ashton talked about that, you can tell he is completely humbled about being asked to be on the show. He told a story about his days on That ’70s Show and how Robin Williams came to the set to see Kurtwood Smith. After Williams left, Kutcher asked Smith what he said and he told him that he he wishes he can do a sitcom again. That sentiment stuck with him and you can tell it influenced him to take on the difficult role.
You can tell from this interview that Ashton is taking this role seriously and loves what he is doing. And just for that it makes me ever more excited to see him join the top rated comedy on US TV!
Last week there was a threat on a jihad website to silence David Letterman forever and yesterday the staff of The Late Show reacted to someone wanting to cut off their boss’ tongue. Let’s just say it seems the threat was a lot closer to the office than he would’ve liked!
David Letterman has had Jay Leno, a stalker and an extortionist after him, so why would he let a death threat from a jihadist website get him down. So yesterday when he returned to The Late Show, he made jokes about it in the monologue and his Top Ten lists. I think that is some of the funniest things I have heard him say on the show since Jay Leno stole Conan O’Brien’s job.
BTW when it comes to the people who hate him, I think he left out interns…
