Bruce Willis was on The Late Show tonight and he showed off a little invention he came up with. What is it? It is a device you put over your head, so that you can eat a corn of cob without any hands. If you want it buttered, then there is a hat for that. Sounds ideal? Just watch his demonstration to see it in action. And tell me if it is as good as Die Hard or as bad as A Good Day to Die Hard?

Rachelle Lefevre was on The Late Show yesterday and David Letterman asked her what is the big difference between season 2 of the show and the first one. She told him that she went into her trailer while filming the first episode this season and there was a little box inside of it from the network. So of course she opened it up and inside were nipple covers. Then she explained that it’s very cold in Wilmington, NC, where they film, and not only that the studio is also really chilly. Then she added, “Apparently we spent some of our FX budget in the first season, my high beams were on. And they needed the FX budget for other things in the show. So this season that’s the big difference for my character.”
Then the CBS late night host wanted to know if there was a connection between the success of the show during the first season and the current one? Well let’s just say now that are her nips are down, so are the show’s ratings.
Although I don’t think that’s the cause of the decline. What I liked about the first season, is that it was so much different than the book it’s based on and it concentrated on the characters. The elements I detested about the novel are finding their way into series and I find myself losing interest. I hate, the dead girl from the ’80s coming back to life. I hate the emotionless Science teacher who thinks she’s Gd. I hate the “Who killed Angie storyline?” I hate Junior’s mysterious uncle. I just want it to go back to a town trying to survive while living Under the Dome and not add in all the BS mysterious intrigue that isn’t that intriguing. Who’s with me?

Yesterday, on The Late Show, David Letterman demonstrated summer’s newest toys for the last time and the final toy was the perfect fit for concluding the segment. It is called the Ponycycle, which is an exercise thingy in the form of a pony that is mobile. So the CBS late night host tried him out, and to end the segment he rode it off the stage into the sunset. Hopefully the retiring host will be back tonight! Which I am sure he will be. But I do think, he should keep that prop around for his official last show because it would be a perfect way for him to say goodbye to late night television after nearly a third of a century.
I also hope that Stephen Colbert continues to this segment because it is always a delight to see the crazy toys they have on there that cost ridiculous amounts of money. Seriously, $60 for that remote controlled dinosaur thingy that rolls around? Even $250 is a little high for the Ponycycle. You can buy a kid a bicycle for that amount of money and his friends won’t laugh at him for riding that out in public.

Michael Douglas’ crotch and Judaism just don’t get along. First, when he was 8 days old, he had a circumcision and then being Jewish came back to haunt that area recently according to what he told David Letterman on The Late Show. Last year, at his son Dylan’s Bar Mitzvah, he was lifted up in a chair as part of the festivities. Well, the guys in the back were stronger than the ones in the front, and he fell forward. Bracing himself for the fall, he pulled his groin. If I were him, I would avoid anything Jewish for the rest of his life, for his crotch’s sake at least.

Poppy Montgomery is on CBS’s The Late Show tonight at 11:35p and she has some big news for David Letterman and more importantly everyone on her show Unforgettable. She is pregnant. Not just a few months along, but she is 6 months along. Believe it or not, she has been hiding her third pregnancy from everyone on the set. Why? She still wanted to do all the stunts that were written for Carrie Wells; but she was afraid that if they knew, they would put an end to that. Now that she’s nearing her third trimester, she wants to be treated like the very pregnant woman that she is. Something, I am sure, once the cast and crew get over their shock of her big news, they will be doing.
It’s amazing no one noticed her clothes were getting a little tighter and she was getting a little bigger. But then again they always have her character wearing a loose shirt and a jacket, so it was kind of easy to hide.
But was it? We will just have to tune in every Sunday at 9p (starting this week the show has a new timeslot) on CBS to see how good of a job she did concealing her baby bump. And then try to guess when they found out she was with child and now they are responsible for hiding it from us. Will there be much of a change? We shall see…
