Darren Criss might straight in real life, but in reel life he is gay. Something he says no wants to do. He told Bustle, “There are certain [queer] roles that I’ll see that are just wonderful,” adding, “But I want to make sure I won’t be another straight boy taking a gay man’s role.”
Then he explained, “The reason I say that is because getting to play those characters is inherently a wonderful dramatic experience…It has made for very, very compelling and interesting people.” Roles which made him a star and gave him an Emmy.
This is just me, but I don’t believe that is the reason why he does not want to play the same characters that he played in Glee, American Crime Story and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. I think he just does not want to do it anymore now that he has an award-winning actor and is married. If you get what I am saying. But I could be wrong.
Chord Overstreet Tweeted the above picture of his Glee co-star and said, “Look who cut his hair off @DarrenCriss.” So now that show is on hiatus for the summer, did Blaine lose his fro? Nope because if you look closely you can see it is a skullcap. So now you can breath a little easier unless he decides he like the look…
The cast of Glee was performing their show in Washington DC when Darren Criss made the mistake of reaching his hand out to the fans in the front row. I say mistake because one of the Gleeks pulled The Warbler off the stage and he fell into the audience. Luckily all was OK, but he took Twitter asking for that never to happen again. He tweeted, “To the lady who pulled me off the stage and into the pit tonight: if I ever see you on a stage… keep your wits about ya. Love, Darren 🙂 !” He then added, “btw I’m lucky I didn’t hit my head on the gate in front of this lady. Seriously close call tonight… Like, please don’t kill me. I’m nice.” So Gleeks please follow his advice and don’t kill the nice guy!
Before Darren Criss got drunk at a party in a basement and kissed a girl on Glee, he was doing the same thing in I Adora You. How cute was the 17 year old with bushy eyebrows and a fro in that 2005 short.
