Melissa Rycroft injured her ribs so badly last week, that she was forced to pull out of tonight’s Dancing with the Stars’ live performance. Although she was trying not to let her the hairline fracture of her ribs stop her and went through with rehearsal earlier today, ultimately they got the best of her and the Judges were forced to judge her rehearsal. Let’s just say they kept it real and Melissa went from top of the leader board to the bottom. She scored a 21 for that dance and then Lacey Schwimmer had to take her place in the Team Mambo and that group dance scored a 25. I think even though she scored the lowest with the Judges scores, I think she will be safe for another week since she vowed to continue on. Finally Melissa Rycroft got interesting because I am sorry, but she bores the heck out of me.
Seriously what the heck are these professional dancers doing their partners? How many bones need to be broken before they realize their celebrities are not used to what they are used to. The show goes 8 seasons without ever having to have a couple’s rehearsal instead of their live performance, and this season has already had two. Steve-O at the beginning of the season and now Melissa. Who will be next?
Oh and luckily Belinda Carlisle went out before she heard her classic song with The GoGos destroyed by the DWTS band. How painful was their version of We’ve Got The Beat.
UPDATE: Here is the Team Mambo dance that Melissa couldn’t do. Do you think the guys need don Beyonce’s Singles Ladies attire at the end? It is an image I will never get out of my head.
UPDATE 2: The Dancing with the Stars producers released the following statement, “DWTS producers confirm Melissa will appear on tonight’s show to address her condition.” I can’t wait to watch DWTS at 9p on ABC to hear what she has to say?
The absolutely adorable Guillermo from Jimmy Kimmel Live! did a Tweet that brought a huge smile to my face! The cutest guy on Late Night TV is asking whether or not he should do Dancing with the Stars next season and I say hell-to-the-yes!!! Last night on Dancing with the Stars they did a group dance to the ’60s beat and I am still not sure how I feel about it. On the whole the show bored me. I don’t get why the judges loved Shawn Johnson so much, she made mistakes and was just OK. Looks like Gilles Marini climaxed a few weeks ago. Melissa might be good, but her and Tony bore me, there is just no emotion or excitement with them. Lil’ Kim was also disappointing last night. When it comes to who will go home tonight on ABC at 9p, it should be either Ty Murray or Lawrence Taylor. And whoever makes it to next week of those two will be eliminated then. Now back to more pain…American Idol is doing Disco tonight at 8p on Fox and that has never been good. But here is some good news to go with the bad…tomorrow two of those yawners will go home! Seriously why did they save Matt aka Justin Timberfake again?
Dancing with the Stars‘ Ty Murray, whose wife Jewel was forced to drop out of the show because of her injury, has suffered his own according to his MySpace blog.
They brought in a choreographer and we worked at that from about 9 a.m. until 1:30 and while I was there I got my eye cut open.
It might end up being a black eye, but I’m not sure. I was doing this thing with Chelsie where I spin her around up above my head and her mic-pack came loose, swung around and hit me in the eye.
This is the first eye accident of the season, but the second injury because of a mic pack. Who knew those things were so dangerous?
The ageless Phyllis Diller was at Dancing with the Stars this Monday and the 91 year old comedienne looks absolutely beautiful! I want the name of her plastic surgeon!!! Talking about plastic surgery, I hope that Comedy Central gets her to roast Joan Rivers in July. For two reasons, she is amazing roaster and maybe she can give Joan the name of that plastic surgeon too because Phyllis’ did a much better job on her than Joan’s did on her!!!
Seriously I can’t get over how amazing she looks, G-d Bless her!!!
