Another Dancing with the Stars couple call it quits |

Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough announced via Twitter that his former-DWTS partner Shannon Elizabeth and him have called it quits. The couple had been dating since she was on the show during season 6 and they were living together. Other pro and star couples that did not work out from the show were Derek’s band mate Mark Ballas & Sabrina Bryan and Mario Lopez & Karin Smirnoff. Karina is currently dating DWTS pro-Maksim Chmerkovskiy, so I maybe they’re safe because they are pro and a pro and not a pro and star.
BTW back to Derek and Shannon, I wonder if the 9 year age difference came between the Cougar and her former-cub. No word who gets custody of the dancing shoes.

Lisa Rinna and Joey Fatone are going from the red carpet to the unemployment line because TV Guide Channel has opted to replace them. According to The Hollywood Reporter the new red carpet talent are The Bachelor’s Chris Harrison and Dancing with the Stars Carrie Ann Inaba. OK, I can get Chris Harrison because The Bachelor has a huge loyal following that I personally never got into. But Carrie Ann Inaba? She isn’t that likable as a judge on DWTS, why do we think we are going to watch her host a red carpet. I can just hear annoying laugh throughout the whole night at Hollywood’s most glamorous events. Well I can assume it because this is one of the times I feel fortunate that I don’t get TV Guide Channel. So you think they made the right choice replacing the DWTS former contestants with the female Judge?

Len Goodman had a cancerous tumor removed |

Len Goodman was keeping a secret the whole time he filmed Dancing with the Stars this season, he had a cancerous tumor on his prostate according to Daily Mail. The 65 year old judge's tumor was found in March during a regular doctor's visit, but waited until after the final dance of the season in May to have it removed. Doctors told him it was OK to wait and that is why he did so. He told the paper "‘I’ve had the surgery now. Everything’s gorgeously good. I’ll be back in September for sure." Thankfully he will be back in September and all is OK now.
Len is now urging middle-aged men to go for regular check-ups, saying: ‘Men, probably more than women, tend to ignore their health.
‘As long as you get checked up every year, then medicine is such now that if you do get something, then hopefully they can catch it early and you have a good chance. ‘I think that’s the most important thing – men of a certain age should have their check-up every year.’

Julianne Hough is dancing her way to the big screen (or straight-to-DVD) in the cheesy remake of Footloose according to the Hollywood Reporter. Two-time Dancing with the Stars champ is joining Chace Crawford in the roles that were made famous by Lori Singer and Kevin Bacon in the 1984 classic.
Now that Julianne is doing her leading role, she is officially a triple threat by being about to sing, dance and act. Although with Kenny Ortega producing and directing, I don’t have much faith in the movie. His movies give me a cavity and a stomach because they are so sweet and cheesy. Plus I don’t think the movie needs to be redone.
BTW the movie is slated to begin production in March which would mean Julianne won’t be do at least two more seasons of Dancing with the Stars.
