Carrie Ann Inaba has done something that no judge on Dancing with the Stars has ever done, she fell out of her chair. She was so excited by Giles Marini’s dance that she couldn’t even stay her in seat after declaring “Let the baby making begin!” Sadly the cameras were not on her when she slipped off the side of her chair, but they were there to see her lying on the floor laughing her a$$ off.
Not only was it hysterical to see her on the floor, it was funny to see how people reacted to it. Len Goodman who was sitting next to her did nothing but laugh at her. Bruno Tonoli initially went to help her, but then he too broke down in laughter. Giles Marini being the French man that he is, ran to her aid and helped her up. While Tom Bergeron stood by his side to make sure she was OK. When it was all done, Bruno fell down on the table hoping Giles would comfort him too. He obliged with a big kiss on to the not Still Standing judge’s forehead.
Who knew a judge falling off her chair will probably be the most talked about moment during the DWTS: All-Stars edition. And I hope the capitalize on it tonight and show the cameras that were focused on her when she fell. I want to see her face as she went down.
Dancing with the Stars has been lucky this season as in no one had been hospitalized because of the show. That is until yesterday when Melissa Rycroft was injured and taken to the hospital via ambulance for suffering a neck and head injury during a rehearsal. According to Eonline she has since been released, but it is unsure if she will be able to dance tonight. She Tweeted, “Thank you so much for sending your prayers..still seeing and talking to docs this AM, will give more details soon, but thanks for your love!” I am sure in true DWTS style we will not know her fate until right before the Presidential debate.
Out of all of the weeks for this to happen, this would be a good one because no one is slated to be eliminated this week. So if she can’t dance, the show can stand losing her. Not that I want her to be that seriously injured, just saying this is a good time to lose a contestant if need be.
If she can’t dance tonight, it would not be the first time this has happened to her on the ABC dancing show. Back in 2009 she fractured three ribs and had to skip dancing on the show for a night.
Yesterday on Dancing with the Stars Drew Lachey and Helio Castroneves were eliminated before constant low scorer Bristol Palin and Jimmy Kimmel wanted to know how they felt about it on his ABC late night show. So Drew Lachey admitted he sent the white powder to her, but for some reason it didn’t get enough press that he did it. Of course he was kidding…I think.
Seriously Lachey was so funny during his chat on Jimmy Kimmel Live that I so want him to get his own show. He had me laughing so hard, that I am bummed he didn’t stay on the show a little longer so we could’ve enjoyed his humor a little longer. Actually Anna Trebunskaya and Chelsie Hightower were also very funny during the chat!
And when it comes to him being unjustly eliminated before the gun-toting Palin, who is only star because she got pregnant as a teen and had the kid, he is right. His freestyle dance that got him the win during season 2 was one of the best dances ever on the show. He was robbed.
Zac Efron is one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors and looks like a new woman might’ve danced her way into his heart. According to In Touch the Lucky One was seen flirting on a dance floor with Dancing with the Star’s two-time champ Cheryl Burke at a night club recently. The source told the mag, “They hooked up after partying all night together.” The mag added that her rep denies they left together, but a source said that they did meet up afterwards. Since both of them know how to dance, imagine what they could do in the bedroom?
And maybe if we are lucky, she can convince him to do Dancing with the Stars? I would like to seem in a tux doing a Quick Step, don’t you want to see that too?
On Friday Dancing with the Stars’ first winner Kelly Monaco was announced to be part of the All-Stars edition and I got to talk to her about it. So my first question for the General Hospital beauty is was it a hard decision to do the show again. She said, “No! It was immediate. Absolutely, I’m there. Thank you very much.” Seeing how excited she was to do the show again, I was wondering if what happened her to the last time she did the show (you know where they had her do a rematch with John O’Hurley even though she rightfully won the title) soured her on DWTS. She responded with, “Yes, I won. I don’t see that redo as a redo on the whole season of Dancing with the Stars.” I didn’t either.
Talking about winning, Executive Producer Conrad Green told me earlier in the day that Kelly has the worst trophy, it was a lamp shade painted gold. When I asked her about that, she said “Maybe I have to campaign for an updated trophy. Or maybe I just have to win one.” So let’ give her our votes because she does deserve a better award.
So how has her life changed since she won that gold-painted lampshade? General Hospital’s Sam McCall Morgan let me know, “It hasn’t. Still grueling. Still a lot of work. Still busting my ass. We’re in a really interesting time in Daytime right not. And we are doing everything we can to keep the genre alive. In that is a crazy storytelling, so I love it. I’m down for the unexpected storyline anytime.” So what did she tell me about those upcoming juicy storylines, “I cannot give you any hints because my executive producer is here tonight along with most of my cast.”
And when it comes to her day job, has she started prepping for her night one? She said, “I just came off of shooting 30 shows in the past 3 weeks for General Hospital. I have not had time to eat properly, let alone prepare for Dancing with the Stars. So I’m hoping in the next few couple of weeks before the show starts I get my footing together, my flexibility going and going in it to give it a good fight.”
Now there is one last question I asked her and she gave me a surprising answer to it. When I asked which pro she wants to dance with in the ABC ballroom, she excitingly said “Cheryl!” Then adding, “Seriously, I’m not kidding. That would be my ideal partner. She is amazing. She is a leader.” We will have to wait until August 13th to find out if she gets who she wants, and I for one am hoping she gets her!!! How hot would that be?
And on that note the picture above was taken the day after the announcement. So whether they are partnered up on the show or not, it looks like they will remain friends to the end of the All-Stars competition.
