Ever since Tom Bergeron was wrongly fired from Dancing with the Stars, everyone has wanted to know why. Well, the former host of the dancing competition found out from one of the stars. As in Star magazine.
He was shopping for a spoon, but came out with the scoop. Not only that, he also got the dish.
Let’s be honest, when we heard that Tom Bergeron was wrongly fired from Dancing with the Stars recently, we all wondered if they offered the job to Alfonso Ribeiro before Tyra Banks. We are not the only ones who want to know.
Us Weekly asked him all about it. He told the magazine, “If the circumstances were very different, that might’ve been something that I might’ve been interested in doing. Then he elaborated, “I certainly would not have been interested in Tom being fired and me being hired to do it. I mean, I already took over for him on AFV. I can’t do all of his gigs. And at the end of the day, the AFV was not a firing. It was him leaving, and that’s what made it possible for me to go. I never want to take someone’s job like that. Yes. That has nothing to do with whoever you’re hiring, of course, but because I’m so close to him, it just wouldn’t have felt right to do if they approached me.”
I am glad he was not approached and accepted the job. As much as I like my Junior High School alum, I would have been upset with him if he did. As would the fans of the show, and he is a fan favortie.
Is he still a fan of the show, and does he plan to watch? It will be hard to watch it without the backbones of the show, Bergeron and Erin Andrews, but he will still tune in for his other friends like the judges and professional dancers.
Does he have any advice for Banks? He says she needs to be the traffic cop guiding the show in the proper direction, and not make it about herself. At the end of the day, it is not about her. Who thinks she will be able to do that? Everything she does is always about her; why would this be any different. That is why a majority of the people think she is the wrong person for the job.
Is it too late for them to give the job back to Bergeron?
On Monday, Tom Bergeron revealed that he had been unjustly fired by Dancing with the Stars. Then on Tuesday, ABC announced that Tyra Banks was hired as his replacement. In the press release, they left out the judges’ names, and that makes us wonder if they are still part of the dancing competition show.
On Tuesday, July 2st, Carrie Ann Inaba, who is a co-host on The Talk, will address that on the CBS talk show. She says, “As of now, that is the plan. I just want everybody to know Len [Goodman], Bruno [Tonioli] and I, that is the plan that we’re coming back. But they’re going make the official announcement in a few weeks. They’re just going to keep letting us know all the details. I don’t want people to worry. It seems like everything is okay.”
Inaba was also complimentary of Banks, who is also an executive producer on DWTS. That makes sense. After all, she is trying to keep her night job.
I have a feeling at least one of the judges will not be back. If they can get rid of Bergeron, they can get rid of anyone.
Two days ago, Tom Bergeron announced that he was fired from Dancing with the Stars. Yesterday, we found out who is going to replace him. For some reason, ABC thinks people will want to watch Tyra Banks instead of him. They are wrong.
Anyways, today Bergeron responded to news of his replacement by saying, “I guess I won’t be getting back my monogrammed towels.” Get it because they have the same initials?
His sense of humor is why we are going to miss him on the dancing competition show.
Like I said yesterday, I hope that if Fox fires Nick Cannon from The Masked Singer that they consider giving the job to Bergeron. The Taco would be perfect.
Yesterday, Tom Bergeron revealed that he was not asked back to host Dancing with the Stars. Today, ABC announced that Tyra Banks will replace him and Erin Andrews. Not only will she be hosting, but she will also be an executive producer.
They are taking the show into a new direction, a direction I have no interest in seeing. Who likes Tyra? I mean she was so bad on America’s Got Talent, that she only did one season. If she couldn’t survive doing that, how is she going to handle doing this show?
Another worrying thing about the press release is that there are three things are missing from it. Those three things are Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Len Goodman. I wonder if the show is thinking of replacing them. They better not because if there are too many changes, and they will lose viewers faster than the Quickstep.
Now, let’s circle back to Bergeron. If Fox fires Nick Cannon from Masked Singer, then I hope they give the job to the Taco. Wouldn’t that be the perfect FU to ABC? Something they need for doing this.
