Loverboy is on the road with Styx and REO Speedwagon. This weekend, there were going to play three shows in Texas. But they announced yesterday that they were pulling out of them “out of an abundance of caution.”
However, they didn’t say why and their fans were not happy with that. Actually, they were downright mean. So today, the group explained why they will not be performing with the other two bands.
“We wanted to further clarify, that a couple members of Loverboy and our crew
contracted COVID-19, so unfortunately, we are unable to perform this weekend in Texas,” Loverboy wrote. “We wanted to let you guys know that symptoms have been mild, so far, and we expect to be back out on tour with our friends REO Speedwagon and Styx next month beginning in Virginia.”
Hopefully, this explanation will make their Texas fans fall in love with Loverboy again. If not, who cares? It is Texas.
Joe Biden has been able to avoid catching COVID-19 throughout his presidency. But that is no longer the case. That is because the President of the United States tested positive for coronavirus today.
Kevin C. O’Connor, D.O., FAAFP Physician to the President, wrote, “This morning, as part of our routine screening program for the President, the SARS-CoV-2 virus was detected by antigen testing. This result was subsequently confirmed via Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing.
On questioning, President Biden is currently experiencing mild symptoms, mostly rhinorrhea (or ‘runny nose) and fatigue, with an occasional dry cough, which started yesterday evening. Given that he meets US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) criteria for PAXLOVID, I have recommended initiating such treatment.
“The President is fully vaccinated and twice-boosted, so I anticipate that he will respond favorably, as most maximally protected patients do. Early use of PAXLOVID in this case provides additional protection against severe disease. He will isolate in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations. I will keep your office updated with any changes in his condition or treatment plan.”
Thankfully, the President is only experiencing mild symptoms. Hopefully, he will be better soon and back to running the country as he has been.
Today, Disney+ announced who will be hosting Dancing with the Stars this season. And Tom Bergeron, who is not returning as one of the hosts, had an announcement of his own.
The beloved host has COVID-19. He wrote, “Well, I dodged it for over two years but it finally caught up with me. And I thought I was stubborn… 🤷🏻♂️”
Hopefully, Bergeron will be better by the time DWTS airs. This way, he can diss them in his own special way.
Last week, we finally found out what happened to Corey Hart after he went missing in 1986. The singer, along with The Go-Go’s and Soft Cell, were slated to play Dorito’s Music Fest ’86, but they never made it. They were last seen in Hawkins, Indiana. With all the Stranger Things that happened there, we thought they were gone forever. They were not. And we finally got to see their concert and hear Hart sing two of his biggest hits, Sunglasses At Night and Never Surrender.
That was the good news. However, it hasn’t been all good news for the Boy in the Box because now he is a boy in the box in quarantine.
“Last week I tested positive for Covid-19 in Spain,” Hart wrote, “My first Omicron tango @ 01/05/22 was relatively easy but this latest variant is nasty & heavy footed – 😞 As we all continue trekking through a deeply divided universe – playing music somehow always makes my heart feel a little brighter. #InYourSoul Godspeed.”
Hopefully, Hart will be better soon. I mean, he was finally released from the Upside Down World, and I have wanted to see him perform live for decades. Now is my chance, unless COVID-19 is as evil as Vecna.
Oh, and I posted this because I wanted y’all to watch his performance from the Dorito’s special concert! So watch it, or I will tell Vecna on you.
Wayne Newton has a permanent residency in Vegas, but he is being forced to take a few weeks off.
“Unfortunately, I have tested positive for Covid after being double vaxxed and boosted,” the singer wrote. “This has caused me to have to cancel some of my shows at the Flamingo Las Vegas. I am deeply sorry to the fans who have purchased tickets and I hope to see them when I am back July 18th. Until then, please stay safe.”
This is not the first time he had to cancel some of his shows recently. He was also forced to do it because of a back injury.
Hopefully, he will be better soon and make his fans happy with his beautiful voice.
