Conan O’Brien remembers Robin Williams with real emotion |

Conan O’Brien tapes his TBS late night show around the same time the world found out that Robin Williams passed away.
When he was told the sad news, he decided to remember the legend at that moment instead of holding off until the next show. So his reaction was raw, sincere and just like ours when we heard the news, and not something his publicist wrote for him.
Andy Richter also remembered Williams fondly. Will Arnett, whose show The Millers aired before The Crazy Ones most last season, summarized the late great actor perfectly.
I am grateful that Conan O’Brien is still on late night television because he is the only who pays tribute to the great comedians when they pass away. He not only talked about Sid Caesar’s death when it happened, he also brought on Mel Brooks to talk about the man he admired. With Larry King no longer on the air, Conan is filling the void for us to have an outlet to hear celebrities remember the celebrities we love in a real no BS type of way.
Thank you Conan for being that outlet.
I still can’t believe I woke up to a world without Robin Williams in it.

Larry King was a guest on Conan O’Brien’s show yesterday and the TBS late night host wanted to know if he ever smoked a jazz cigarette? King admitted that when he smoked the non-jazz cigarettes, he smoked the marijuana with his doctor. Since then he hasn’t inhaled because he’s afraid it might tempt him to get back in to tobacco.
Then Conan asked him if he ever tried the edible kind and he had not. So the red head took out a pot brownie and offered it to his guest. Larry took the special brownie and shared it with Andy Richter and the host. Within seconds they were all high. Thus, we now know that the show is not cheap when it comes to the good stuff. And King is a lot hipper than we thought.
Finally, the next time I am at a taping for the show and hanging in the green room, I am totally asking for a brownie!!!

Lizzy Caplan was on Conan O’Brien’s show tonight and the TBS late night host asked her what it is like filming a sex scene with Michael Sheen on Masters of Sex. So she told him about their first time together and how nervous they were. Both of their hands were shaking as they shot the scene. As soon as they yelled cut, Sheen ran to the nearest garbage can and threw up. Caplan was horrified until she found out he had “food poisoning”. In a way his suffering, made her feel better.
I am sure just like her real first time, her first time on the sexy Showtime drama with her co-star was very memorable although she wishes she could forget it.

The cast of Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black were on Conan O’Brien’s show yesterday and the TBS late night host wanted to know more about a story he heard. Basically during season one Natasha Lyonne asked Lea DeLaria how to have sex with a woman. So Big Boo told her to, “Look for the keys. Look for the keys. Judy Garland. Look for the keys. Look for the keys. Judy Garland. Joan Crawford!” as she demonstrated it. Even though she was giving us a lady on lady on lesson, I think you boys can learn something from her class too.
So ladies and gentlemen, the next time you are in bed with a woman remember to lose your keys, so you can send her Somewhere Over the Rainbow. If you do it right, then she will be screaming out “Mommie Dearest! Mommie Dearest!!!” in ecstasy.
That answer was too much for Conan, it actually caused him to have crazy eyes that were certifiable.
Finally, I think Netflix screwed up by giving Chelsea Handler a talk show when they already have the perfect person to do it on their roster. I honestly think Lea DeLaria needs a talk show where she do and say whatever she wants! Who else would watch it with me?

Conan O’Brien is starring in Sharktopus vs Pteracuda tonight at 9p on Syfy and you don’t want to miss his brilliant acting. Well that and a really great creature feature. It’s the best one to air on the network since Sharknado 2. So check out it because it is a pairing you’ve never seen before and probably won’t ever see again.
