Viacom’s powerful tribute to George Floyd
June 2nd, 2020 under Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, VH1/MTV. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday at 5p, for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, several Viacom stations, including Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, and MTV went black. That is the amount of the time that the murdering police officer had his knee on George Floyd’s neck. As Floyd’s life was leaving his body, he screamed, “I can’t breathe.”

Those three words were written on the black screen as we listened to someone struggling to breathe for that amount of time. Sit and listen to each breath, and let your anger take over you. That is why we peacefully protesting in the streets. That is why we are saying never again. This needs to stop. No one deserves to die like that, and no one ever should again.

Floyd’s voice was silenced, ours will speak louder for him. This needs to end now. Let’s work on a solution so that Floyd’s, and all of the innocent people who were murdered by bad cops, deaths were not in vain.

We are all people who bleed red, and we need to stop judging people by their skin color. We need to judge them for who they are as individuals.

Reno 911 is back on duty
December 6th, 2019 under Cedric Yarbrough, Comedy Central, Niecy Nash, Thomas Lennon. [ Comments: none ]

Comedy Central announced today that Quibi picked up Reno 911 for a seventh season, 10 years after the show ended its run. Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon will all write and star in the series but what about the rest of the original cast like Cedric Yarbrough and Niecy Nash? Wendi McLendon-Covey, who is also original, wrote that “the whole original cast will be involved.”

The Goldbergs actress also says she thinks the show will return in April. Since she and Yarbrough (Carol’s Second Act) are both currently working on broadcast sitcoms, I wonder how they will have the time to film new episodes. We will find out soon enough, along with all the other details.

While I never got into the show, I know so many people who are so excited about it coming back. Are you one of them?

BTWF: Bernie Sanders on Bernie Speaks with the Community
May 9th, 2019 under Before They Were Famous, Comedy Central, Politics, Trevor Noah. [ Comments: none ]

Before Bernie Sanders was running for President of the United States, he was the mayor of Burlington, Vermont hosting a public access show called Bernie Speaks with the Community. As Trevor Noah said, he looks the same now as he did when he was 46 in those 1987 episodes.

Now, let’s talk about how Trevor Noah reviewed these episodes on The Daily Show yesterday. I have not laughed that hard in a really long time. However, I do not know if I was laughing with Noah, at Bernie or with both. All I know is it what I needed!!!

Bruce Willis is going to burn, mother f*ckers!
April 10th, 2018 under Bruce Willis, Comedy Central. [ Comments: none ]

We have seen Bruce Will roast things on the big screen and now he is going to get roasted on the small screen? What? He is going to be the man of the night at the next Comedy Central Roast sometime this summer.

How does he feel about it? He said, “This ain’t the first time I’ll be tied to a chair and held hostage by a group of humorless assholes for a couple hours.” Chances are, it will not be the last

If they do not even have a date, then they definitely do not know who will be making fun of him. Who are some of your ideal roasters? I would love to see his ex-wife Demi Moore and her ex-husband be part of the dais. I would also be happy to see his first big costar Cybill Shepherd up there. Not to make fun of her Moonlighting lover, but to watch everyone else make fun of her. If she is not available, then maybe they can set up a Blind Date with Kim Basinger?

Another thing that would be awesome, is if Comedy Central could get Seagram’s to sponsor the night. Does anyone know if they still make those wine coolers? On that note, maybe he will sing for us. If anything is worth roasting about him, then that is definitely in the top three.

See Kathy Griffin as Kellyanne Conway
April 3rd, 2018 under Comedy Central, Kathy Griffin. [ Comments: none ]

A few weeks ago, it was announced that Kathy Griffin is going to play Kellyanne Conway on Comedy Central’s The President Show. Tonight at 11p, she is going to make her debut as Trump’s, well what does Conway do? Do you know? Besides being perceived as a joke?

Anyways, I was not sure how Griffin would do in the role, but now we can see she looks like the woman is she is playing. And that is not a compliment.
