May the 4th be with TBBT, Surviving Jack wrestles with the parent/kid dynamic
May 1st, 2014 under Bill Lawrence, Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

It’s May 4th on The Big Bang Theory at 8p tonight on CBS and the force is with this episode. When they gang gets some bad news, they all handle it differently. Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) go to Professor Proton’s (Bob Newhart) funeral, and they get so close at it that a certain question gets asked again. Meanwhile, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) stays home to celebrate Star Wars Day, and the late Professor Proton comes to him to give him advice. He is there to share some important insight with Sheldon that will make him more human, but will he listen? Let’s just there is an extremely tender moment between the roommates you don’t want to miss.
Tonight’s touching episode is the best one of the season, and since it’s almost over you don’t want to miss it.

Then at 9:30p change the dial over to Fox to watch another hilarious episode of Surviving Jack.
Rachel (Claudia Lee) tells her dad, Jack (Chris Meloni) that she wants to join the wrestling team, but the coach (Neil Flynn) won’t let on because she is a girl. He thinks she is trying to pull something over on him, so he asks the coach if his daughter is telling the truth. He tells him that she is, and he will let her on the team if he beats him at wrestling. Of course, Jack wins and now his daughter is on the team. Which makes him happy until he finds out, she was pulling something over on him. He doesn’t like to be played by his daughter, so he gets revenge on her.
While they are having a father/daughter moment, Joanne (Rachael Harris) and Frankie (Connor Buckley) are having a mother/son one. It is time for the annual weekend getaway which he is all excited about. That is until he finds out that some of the popular guys from his school are staying at the same hotel and his mom embarrasses him. Now their once perfect relationship isn’t as perfect and she doesn’t know how to win her son back.
So now both parents are dealing with issues with their kids, and want things to go back to the way that were. Will they be able to get their kids back or have they lost them forever?
If you’ve be watching this delightful family sitcom, then you do they do in a way that brings a smile to your face because as rough as they are in the outside, they are as sweet on the inside. It the warmth of this family’s relationship that makes Surviving Jack so enjoyable and a must watch.
Did I mention that Frankie’s friends, Mikey (Tyler Foden) and George (Kevin Hernandez) walk in on Jack and Joanne doing it? Jack tells them that if they ever enter the house again uninvited, he will shave their eyebrows off? Do they heed his warning or will they go eyebrowless? You have to tune and you know you want to find out.

Does The Big Bang Theory have an end date?
April 25th, 2014 under Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

Back in March, CBS picked up The Big Bang Theory for 3 more seasons and now EP Steve Molaro hints that they might be the last three for the show. When The Hollywood Reporter asked him if he sees season 10 as the “end of the road”, he said “You never know. I’m going to move forward along with (co-creator/EP) Chuck (Lorre) that 10 is the end unless we’re told otherwise.” Then he added, “The mindset is it’s going to be the 10 and then we’ll see what happens after that.” At this point they are planning for the end, but they don’t have a finale in mind like How I Met Your Mother did from episode 1.
Even though he is planning for the show to end in 3 years, to him it is more important to end the show properly rather than by making it to a certain amount of seasons. Since this show will be living in syndication for years to come, that is a wise decision for them and for us.
So are you sad that show might be ending in 2017 or are you starting tire of the show? To be honest, I starting to get over the show. The more characters they add, the less charm it has for me.

Even Kaley Cuoco is over herself?
April 3rd, 2014 under Chuck Lorre, Kaley Cuoco. [ Comments: none ]

Kaley Cuoco Instagrammed this photo of herself checking out her cell with several copies of her on the cover of Cosmo in the background. She looks as thrilled to see her face all over the place as we are.
Sorry, it was too easy not to go there. I still like her. She hasn’t reached that annoying stage like so many others.

Mike & Molly’s Billy Gardell is a cheerleader!
April 1st, 2014 under Chuck Lorre, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

Billy Gardell is going to be on Sesame Street and the Mike & Molly star has something to cheer about. That’s because he is teaching Elmo and Abby what the word cheer means. As we all know, cheerleaders cheer so the comedian became one to demonstrate the word!
Give me an A for awesome because that is how he did!!!

The Big Bang Theory gets 3 more seasons, Two and a Half Men set to end?
March 12th, 2014 under Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

CBS announced today that they picked up The Big Bang Theory for not one, not two, but three seasons. That’s right, TV’s #1 comedy will be around for at least three more years. When it comes to cast, at this point they are hoping that all 7 will be back for the 3 seasons too. Which I think they will be because none of them have really done anything else but the show.
The good news doesn’t stop there for Chuck Lorre, who created the show, because Deadline says that his other three sitcoms, Two and a Half Men, Mike & Molly and Mom are all set to also be renewed. But they added that 2.5 might only be getting a 13 episode final season order. I hope that they are wrong because I still enjoy the show, even more than I do TBBT. I am actually tiring of the megahit. Am I the only one?
