Billy Gardell is a big boy!
September 8th, 2014 under Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

Billy Gardell Tweeted this photo of himself outside Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank and said he was auditioning for his next role. I think that the Mike & Molly star has a good chance of landing the part. Because just like Bob, he so cute and inviting. Plus, except for the hair, they could totally be twins.
Seriously, don’t you just want to eat what he’s serving?

Hey Mayim Bialik, Smile you’re on candid camera!
August 25th, 2014 under Chuck Lorre, Mayim Bialik. [ Comments: none ]

Mayim Bialik Instagrammed this photo of herself just waking up and you’d think that the host of Candid Camera would know how to smile for the camera. Especially, since she says it all the time on the TV Land show. I mean, I thought I was grumpy in the morning before I had my coffee, but she makes me look like a barrel of sunshine as compared to her Selfie.
So why does she look like she woke up on the wrong side of the bed? She says that she is nervous about the Emmys tonight. No offense, but I’d be shocked if The Big Bang Theory actress beat out Allison Janney for Mom. I don’t think the latter deserves it because Mom is the least funny sitcom on broadcast TV. I think she’ll win because the voters are so predictable when it comes to who they vote for. They are still voting for her as though she was still on West Wing. Do you agree?

The Big Bang Theory three get a banging raise!
August 4th, 2014 under Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

Last week, the original Big Bang Theory cast members did not show up to work because of contract negotiations, and over the weekend the studio and three of the leads, Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki reached a settlement. Penny, Sheldon and Leonard will all be making a whopping million dollars an episode for the next three (and expected to be the last) years according to Entertainment Weekly. While they got what they wanted Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are still waiting to sign on the line, but they are expected to sign shortly.
So crisis adverted, they will all be going back to work on Wednesday. And hopefully by then they will have decided what charity to donate some of their earnings to. C’mon, they are making over $24 million a year, they can afford to give some of it away to people who need it besides their lawyers, agents, managers and publicists. Who’s with me?

Kaley Cuoco is in the dog kennel!

Yesterday, when we heard that The Big Bang Theory cast had not shown up to their first day of work on the new season because of contract negotiations, we wanted to put of them all in the dog house. Well, Kaley Cuoco did the next best thing and Instagrammed a photo of herself in her dog’s kennel. It’s not perfect, but it is a start.
Well that, and it is a really cute photo of her pup and her.

Is The Big Bang Theory in trouble?
July 30th, 2014 under Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

The Big Bang Theory was supposed to have their first table read of the season today, but the cast didn’t show up. Why? Because the original 5 are going through contract negotiations with the studio. They want more money, a lot more money and as of today they haven’t gotten what they wanted. According to The Hollywood Reporter the first group which consists of Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki all want a million dollars (up from $325,000) an episode plus a cut of the show’s back end. While Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are also asking for a hefty raise, their amount is unknown.
I am sorry, but I don’t think anyone is worth getting $22 million a year. Yes, it’s TV’s top comedy but are they really worth that much? I say no. But then again, you can’t blame them because when this show is done, so will their careers be also. They pretty much are typecasted now and it will be hard for them to find other work. They might be able to, but still it will be hard. I mean, I saw Jim Parsons, in his first non-TBBT role and all I saw was Sheldon. I am sure I am not the only one. Galecki, has more money than he needs after being on two huge hit sitcoms. I am sure Cuoco will do a few telemovies and maybe another series. And when it comes to Nayyar and Helberg, although both of then are fine comedic actors, I just don’t see them doing anything else.
Plus, I thought TBBT was starting to show its age last season, and I am not sure how much longer it can remain the #1 comedy. Here’s to hoping ABC sneaks up ahead of them on Wednesdays.
Do you think the cast is worth more money or they should be happy with what they got?
Finally the first thing I want to hear if they get their huge a$$ raises, is we donated some of earnings to a charity. When was the last time you heard that after a big raise? I am talking to you The Simpsons and Modern Family cast? I could be wrong, but I don’t remember hearing any of their money going to a good cause. Did you?
