Back in May, Mariska Hargitay revealed that she had a broken knee, a hairline fracture in her ankle, and a torn ligament. She spent the summer recuperating because of it. In fact, she is still healing and needs help to get around on the set of Law & Order: SVU. Chris Meloni, her partner in crime, was more than willing to help.
However, he might not be the best person to be pushing, I mean, pulling her around. That is because he was pulling her on an office chair when they hit a bump in the road. You can only imagine what happened next. She went down faster than a crime on a Dick Wolf procedural.
Thankfully, she is OK. Because as they say, “Laughter is the best medicine.” And there was plenty of laughter to go around.

There are a lot of tough jobs out there, and these have to be some of the toughest. There are two women who were assigned to work with Chris Meloni, aka Zaddy, on the Men’s Health cover photoshoot. One woman had to shave his back, while the other had to grease his chest and abs.
We all have to make a living, and these women are doing a job that no one wants. I am sorry, they are doing a job that over half of America wants to do. I want it, do you want it too?

Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni are once again paired up together, and they are enjoying being side by side. So much so they each got masks with their mugs on them. Therefore that is six Bensons and six Stables in one photo. Then if you include their Thursday night NBC procedurals Law & Order: SVU that airs at 9p and Law & Order: Organized Crime that starts at 10p, that is eight of them. Oy!
I have to admit, as much as I live this photo, Cagney & Lacey, aka Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly did it better.

Since the barbershops are closed, people have had to do their own hair. Chris Meloni is one of those people. Therefore, he decided to shave it off. Hopefully, it will grow back by the time they are ready to film the Law & Order: SVU spinoff Stable.

The good news is that Chris Meloni is reprising his role as Elliot Stabler. The bad news is that it is not for Law & Order: SVU. Instead, he is getting his own spinoff, and it already a 13-episode order.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The new series revolves around an NYPD organized crime unit led by Stabler. The new series will also be set in New York.” I smell at least one crossover episode with SVU coming up.
No word, where and when the show will debut. However, with so many pilots never being shot because of COVID-19, I am assuming it will be on NBC in the Fall.
Meloni originated the role in 1999, and played the character until 2011.
