Ray Romano was on The Late Show and he told David Letterman that the thing his TV wife Patricia Heaton and his real wife of 25 years have in common is that neither of them will sleep with him. You would think that would be the thing that has his marriage doomed, but he told the CBS late night host that she hates the way he types. Once she said that, he realized that he only has two more years left to be married to Anna.
I’ll tell you I think the typing thing would’ve been a hysterical episode on Everybody Loves Raymond if it were still on.
CBS announced today that they made a mistake by cancelling Unforgettable, so to make it up to the show they are bringing it back for second season next summer. Well they didn’t exactly admit their mistake, but what they Tweeted was “Hey ‪#Unforgettable‬ fans. It’s official, the series will return to ‪#CBS‬ for summer 2013.” I am so happy that they didn’t forget about this show because the procedural really found its footing as the season went on. Plus the season finale had a nice twist that would changed everything and now we get to see it play out.
It looks like thanks to success of shows like Rookie Blue and several of the cable channel hits like Dallas, Suits, Anger Management and so on that the networks are wiling to air scripted shows in the summer. I don’t have a problem with that because at least it gives something to watch when it is too hot to go outside.
Michael Weatherly Tweeted the above photo and said, “This shirt kind of tells me 2 things: I’m ready for summer and I need a gold chain.” So I guess during his hiatus NCIS stands for Needs Chain In Summer?
BTW am I the only who kept enlarging this picture to see if they could catch a glimpse of Anthony DiNozzo’s nipple? Is that wrong?
Last week the networks announced which shows were cancelled and which ones would be back, but there was one show still waiting to find out its fate. Today Rules of Engagement found out that CBS finally RSVPed yes for next year. Notice I said year and not season because the sitcom is a midseason replacement.
So when it comes to next season anyone else hoping that after seven seasons and nearly 100 episodes that Adam and Jennifer finally get married? Maybe they will do that in the milestone episode.
BTW I am happy that CBS decided to bring this show back because I think this season has been the laugher’s best one yet.
Tonight on the season finale of Criminal Minds at 9p on CBS, it seems like a normal Saturday until a bank is robbed. These are serial bank robbers (Tricia Helfer and Evan Jones), but this time they are adding murder to their list of crimes. BAU is called in to investigate and several of them will find their lives in danger especially when the bank is blown up with them inside. That is where the first hour of the two hour finale ends, but it is not the end of the story. Now they have to find the bank robbers, who are on the run, before they kill anyone else. And this time they are not going after any more banks, they are going after a member of BAU and that person might not be back for season two.
As crazy and exciting as the season finale is, it ends on a bittersweet note as we see Paget Brewster say goodbye for now. The actress asked to leave the show and they wrote an exit for her that leaves it open for her to return. One thing I will tell you is when we say so long to Prentiss it will be at a happy event. So instead of ending the year with a cliffhanger, we will see it end with a happily ever after instead.
