As soon as it was announced that Omarosa was going from the White House to the Celebrity Big Brother one, you were hoping she would dish on her experience there. Now that she is starting to open up, you will wish she didn’t. If you had problems sleeping before today because of this administration, then it is about to get a whole lot worse.
Ross Matthews asked her why she went it and she told him, “I felt like it was a call to duty like I was serving my country and not serving him.”
Then she revealed to Ross the Intern, “I was haunted by Tweets every single day. What he is going to Tweet next?” Then he wanted to know if anyone would say anything to him? She said, “I tried to be that person and then all of the people around him attacked me. It was like keep her away from him. Don’t give her access. Don’t let her talk to him. Ivanka’s [Trump]. Jared’s [Kushner] there.”
Even though she is not there, she would like to say it is not her problem but she can’t. She then warned Matthews that, “It’s bad,” as she wiped away her tears.
Then he wanted to know if we should be worried? She shook her head and told him, “It’s not going to be OK. It’s not. It’s bad.” And with that the demand for sleeping pills just skyrocketed.
I hope the reality show villain is just hamming up for the cameras because if not, well you know, we have been living it for the last year.
BTW I can totally see someone like April Ryan asking Sarah Huckabee about Omarosa today at the White House press briefing. Huckabee will be like, “The President wishes her well, but he does not have time to watch and listen to everything she says on a reality show. He is not a fan of reality TV, he likes to call it fake TV here.” Then they will follow up with, should we be afraid like she said. That is when Huckabee will put on that fake smile and be like, “Of her, yes. Moving on.”

When the Huckabee replacement, Raj Shah, was asked if they are taking what Omarosa said seriously, he told the press, “Not very seriously. Omarosa was fired three times on The Apprentice and this is the fourth time we let her go.” Then he added that she has limited contact when she was there and has had no contact since she was fired for the 4th time. My friend brought up a good point, who hired her 4 times? Who is the real schmuck the hirer or the firer? Oh wait, it is the same person.
You know your political career is so over when not only are you fired from the White House, but less than two months later the best job you can get afterwards is Celebrity Big Brother. And that is exactly where Omarosa will be spending next month. Which is not a bad thing for us. Why? Because the second she gets drunk, you know she is going to be spilling secrets from her time in DC. That means Trump should be more afraid of that than Mueller. Don’t get me wrong, he should still be sh!tting a brick as a Tweets in the morning about the latter. But Omarosa’s mouth is pretty scary too.
Brandi Glanville should be nervous because you know those two will be fighting as soon as they get into the house. The Housewife is just a snack for her and she is the biggest one she has in the house.

BTW the winner of the celebrity edition still gets the $250,000 grand prize. I highly doubt Omarosa will go home with that.
Remember when NBC announced that they were reviving Coach and you were like who asked for that? Well, today CBS announced that they are bringing back Murphy Brown next season for 13 episodes. I liked the news sitcom, but who asked for it? I guess CBS is going for the older demographic like AARP and above.
I mean, I am glad to have Candice Bergen back on TV, but wow. Just absorbing their decision to bring the show back after 20 years. It just feels dated since so much has changed since it went off the air in ’98. So what is the premise for the revival? CBS says, “Murphy Brown returns to a world of cable news, social media, fake news and a very different political and cultural climate.”
Back when the show aired, it was controversial because Bergen’s real life pregnancy was written into the show and her character was not married. Then Vice President Dan Quayle took issue with that storyline and the sitcom took issue with him. Which makes you wonder how political it will be this time around. Something I am not looking forward to and it is a big reason why I am not loving the Roseanne revival. I want to escape politics with scripted TV and not be reminded of it when I am trying to get away from it.
When it comes to the rest of the cast, we do not know who, if any of them will return. When I say this show is going for AARP demo, I ain’t kidding. Faith Ford is the youngest cast member and she is 53. Grant Shaud is 56, Joe Regalbuto is 68, Bergen is 71 and Charles Kimbrough is 10 years older than her. Sadly, Robert Pastorelli passed away in 2004, so he will not be part of it. Also, it will be hard to bring Scott Bakula back because he is starring in NCIS: NoLa on the network. But then there is their kid. No word how old he will be. If Roseanne can change up the kids’ ages on her show, then Bergen can do the same with hers.
What do you think Murphy Brown coming back? Which show do you wish they brought back instead? When it comes to which CBS show I wish they would have revived first, I have been rooting for Still Standing. So I think that is why this news bums me out.
Fox is the only network of the Big 4 not to bring back show. What they are waiting for? I guess Modern Family to end already, so they can get Ed O’Neill back. And if Murphy Brown costs me Superior Donuts and gives Fox Katey Sagal, then I am going to boycott it.
One last note, isn’t Great News just like a modern day version of Murphy Brown? And look at how that show is doing in the ratings? I like it, but not too many other people do.
I lied, finally if you have never seen Murphy Brown, then you can watch it on Antenna TV weeknights at 10p.
Scorpion and Criminal Minds have both taken a huge hit in the ratings this season on CBS, and now both shows will be ending their seasons in April instead of May. The eye network announced today that on April 30th, Elementary will take over Scorpion’s slot and that Wednesday, Code Back takes over for Criminal Minds. What that means for future of those two shows that have occupied those slots all season long, we will find out in May. I hope they do not cancel the procedural with geniuses because I am still enjoying it.
You see, it used to be and still sometimes mean, that if a show does not end its season May, it is a goner for the Fall. Ghost Whisperer was one the first shows that kept getting picked up even though it barely ever made it to May sweeps.

We might be days away from 2018, but CBS is turning the clock back over 50 years tonight. They will air two hours of classic comedies and these shows will do better than almost all the other shows did this week in the ratings. That is because no matter how much time has passed, I Love Lucy and The Dick Van Dyke Show still feel fresh and make everyone laugh out loud.
At 8p, we get a retrospect Christmas episode of I Love Lucy that shows us some sweet moments for the Ricardos. Like the time when Lucy told Ricky she was pregnant and then when she went into labor. They are two moments that will forever be etched in television history, so to see them in color makes them even more special.
Then at 8:30p, Lucy left NYC for Hollywood and she wants to dress like a star. Ricky gives her $100 to buy a dress and she goes to a fancy shoppe to buy one. While she is there, she overhears that there is going to be a fashion show at the store tomorrow and the models are celebrities’ wives. Of course, Lucy finagles her way into the show and buys a dress. A dress that cost 5X more than she was allowed to spend. Ethel and her come up with a way that Ricky cannot get mad at her, but it comes at a cost. One that makes it perfect for a colorized version of the black and white classic.

Then at 9p, it is time for The Dick Van Dyke Show to be seen in living color. I recently read that the classic sitcom was the last one to be shot entirely in black and white. Had it gone on another season, that one would have been filmed in color.
Anyways, in the first episode, Laura feels that her marriage to Rob might be in trouble and she needs to do something to save it. Millie tells her whenever she wants to spice up her marriage, she bleaches her hair. Laura gets some peroxide and goes blonde. Then Rob calls her and tells her he loves her as a brunette. She gets some hair dye to go back to her natural color, but Rob comes home early and she was only able to dye half of her hair. Seeing this moment in color makes a funny scene even more hysterical. Black and white just didn’t do it justice.
Just like the episode at 9:30p, when Sally goes to an art show and sees a painting of Laura naked. Now Rob and Laura have to come up with a way to make that painting go away before anyone they know sees it. Their biggest obstacle is that the now renowned painter doesn’t want to give it to them and several people have offered to buy it for more money than they can afford. Will they be able to get that painting before everyone in NYC sees it?
Back in the ’80s, Ted Turner tried to colorize classic movies and it was ugly. CBS has done such a beautiful job retouching these shows, you would never know that were not originally shot in color. Therefore, it is like watching these beloved classics, that we have seen hundreds of times, for the first time. What is a better Christmas gift than that?
