BTS taped a Crosswalk Musical with James Corden yesterday before they appeared on The Late Late Show.
If you are not familiar with the skit, Corden performs musical numbers with celebrities in the crosswalk outside of the CBS studios, where he tapes his late night talk show when the traffic light is red. Got it? Good.
Well, yesterday, the K-Pop boyband were his victims. And at the end of Dynamite, they were forced to retrieve the props that were used during that song at great risk to their personal health.
This shows us what good guys the seven of them are and how Corden is not for making them do that. #SaveBTS
Yesterday at the American Music Awards, New Kids on the Block came to battle it out with New Edition during the show. However, on the red carpet, they became friends with BTS.
Now, I am thinking like how totally tubular it would be if they went on tour together and called it the NKOTBSB tour. Together they are smooth like butter and have the right stuff. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!
Lizzo was on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge today, and she performed a cover of BTS’s Butter. Since it is Lizzo, the rumors are true, and she made it her own but kept it the same.
Why this band? “I love the song, love how positive their music and how funky it is, so I was super excited to sing this,” she said. “I have dedicated my artistry to making positive music, and BTS does just that. The world has fallen in love with them because they are so sweet and pure and they’re just good-hearted. And I wanted to bring some positivity into the world via their song.”
I can’t wait for their duet because it will be like butter!
On Wednesday, Garth Brooks cancelled his remaining tour dates for the year, and now BTS has followed suit with their Map of the Soul World Tour.
Big Hit Music said in a statement, “Our company has worked hard to resume preparations for the BTS Map of the Soul Tour, knowing that all fans have been waiting eagerly and long for the tour,” the band’s backer Big Hit Music said in a statement released on its Weverse fan platform.
“Due to changing circumstances beyond our control, it has become difficult to resume performances at the same scale and timeline as previously planned.”
I respect their decision. Due to the Delta variant and hospitals filling up in America, where we’ve had the vaccine, we are nowhere near out of the woods. Being trapped in a confined space for at least two hours is not really ideal yet. I cannot wait until that day comes when we can back to the way things were in 2019. It will happen, just not anytime soon because of COVidiots.
Pentatonix is back with another mashup, and this time they are taking on BTS. The Acapella group combined two of the K-Pop band’s newest chart-toppers, Butter and Dynamite. How did they do? As Barbra Streisand would say, “It’s like butter.” At least that is what Mike Myers said she said.
