The Grammys are airing on Monday night, and BTS, who is slated to perform, might not be able to do so. That is because Jungkook tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday after he arrived in Las Vegas from Korea to get ready for the award show.
His record label says that, as of now, Jungkook is just suffering from a sore throat.
When it comes to Grammys, “JungKook’s participation in the later schedule in the United States will be determined by the local regulations on COVID-19, while we are actively in discussions with the awards organizer.”
As of now, a fully vaccinated person is supposed to remain in quarantine for 10 calendar days after testing positive. Therefore, he would be forced to miss the show. However, the Recording Academy could let him perform if he has a negative test.
At this point, we do not know what they will do. I think the Recording Academy will let BTS perform because they already lost Kanye West as a performer.
BTS’s Jimin is in the hospital, and he underwent an appendectomy this morning.
Big Hit Music released this statement, “Jimin experienced sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat on January 30 in the afternoon. He visited a hospital emergency room for a thorough examination, and also took a PCR test. Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and was tested positive for COVID-19. He underwent surgery following physician advice early morning on Monday, January 31.”
The surgery went well, but he will have to remain in the hospital for observation over the next few days.
BTS came to America, and all Suga, RM, and Jin got was a breakthrough case of COVID-19.
Suga tested positive first on Friday, and the other two followed on Saturday. Jin is the only one showing symptoms, and they are mild according to KABC.
Hopefully, they will all be better soon, and no more members will test positive.
Does it feel like BTS is everywhere? That is because they are. Since they have been anywhere and everywhere over the last year, they made a big announcement. They are going to take a break.
Announcement on BTS’ Vacation
Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC.
We would like to inform you that BTS is planning to take a second official extended period
of rest since their first in 2019, after they complete their official scheduled events of “BTS
PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA” and the “2021 Jingle Ball Tour.”
BTS stayed active in order to engage with fans in 2020 and 2021 amidst the COVID-19
situation, and achieved dazzling results to cement themselves as top global artists.
This period of rest will provide the members of BTS who have tirelessly committed
themselves to their activities, a chance to get re-inspired and recharge with creative
energy. It will also be the first time for them since their debut to spend the holiday season
with their families. We kindly ask once again that you show consideration for their need to enjoy ordinary and free, everyday lives while solely concentrating on themselves, albeit
for a short while, during their period of rest.
BTS will be focusing on preparing for the concert and release of the new album that will
mark the beginning of a “new chapter.” They are preparing for a concert this coming
March to connect and communicate with the fans in-person in Seoul.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the fans who continue to cheer for
BTS and they will return as their best, healthiest selves after recharging so they can
return all the love from the fans.
Thank you.
Let’s hope they don’t do One Direction and break up during the break.
BTS taped a Crosswalk Musical with James Corden yesterday before they appeared on The Late Late Show.
If you are not familiar with the skit, Corden performs musical numbers with celebrities in the crosswalk outside of the CBS studios, where he tapes his late night talk show when the traffic light is red. Got it? Good.
Well, yesterday, the K-Pop boyband were his victims. And at the end of Dynamite, they were forced to retrieve the props that were used during that song at great risk to their personal health.
This shows us what good guys the seven of them are and how Corden is not for making them do that. #SaveBTS
