Now that Britney Spears is free from her father’s conservatorship, she is shedding it all. As in her clothes. That is because the singer shared photos wearing just what she came into the world wearing. Proving, not only is she free of her dad, but she is also free! Free to be who she wants to be and fabric.

It has been a good month for Britney Spears. First, her father filed to her end her conservatorship. Now, her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, has proposed to be her conservator. As in, he proposed to her. She said yes, and she “can’t f*cking believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣️!!!!!!”

The two of them have been dating for almost five years. They met on the set of her music video Slumber Party. He played her boyfriend in it, and then he became her real-life boyfriend.

This is her third marriage. In 2004, she was married to Jason Allen Alexander for 55 hours. Later that year, she married Kevin Federline. They had two sons, Sean, who turns 16 on the 14th, and Jayden, who turned 15 today before ending their marriage in 2006.

Before little girls were singing Selena Gomez’s songs, she was singing Britney Spears’ Don’t Go Knockin’ on My Door. How cute was the 8-year-old in that 2000 home video?

This week, Miley Cyrus did it too to support the singer. In her TikTok video, she writes “#FreeBritney.” If it wasn’t for Britney, who knows if we would have Miley. Actually, we would have. It is just the question of to what degree.

Cyrus had another message with this video. “If you’re TOXIC but not a Britney song I don’t f*ck with you. 🧪☠️💚👸🏼” she wrote. Words to live by.

Justin Timberlake took to social media today to apologized to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson.

I’ve seen the messages, tags, comments, and concerns and I want to respond. I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right. I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.

I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because
I care for and respect these women and I know I failed.

I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and most importantly, because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be part of and grow from…

The industry is flawed. It sets men, especially white men, up for success. It’s designed this way. As a man in a privileged position I have to be vocal about this. Because of my ignorance, I didn’t recognize it for all that it was while it was happening in my own life but I do not want to ever benefit from others being pulled down again.

I have not been perfect in navigating all of this throughout my career. I know this apology is a first step and doesn’t absolve the past. I want to take accountability for my own missteps in all of this as well as be part of a world that uplifts and supports.

I care deeply about the wellbeing of the people I love and have loved. I can do better and I will do better.

We don’t know why he did this out of the blue. He could’ve watched the doc on Britney and realized his mistakes. He could just have an epiphany. We don’t know.

Let’s see if actions match his words. That will be what is really telling.
