Former Blink 182 member Mark Hoppus has revealed the reasons behind his band’s split. The band went on "indefinite hiatus" last year after 11 years together. The bassist said that the group parted ways because of guitarist Tom Delonge’s indecision on whether he wanted to tour or not.Hoppus, who is now in Plus 44 with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker[/B], told a fansite:"Tom started saying he din’t want to tour, that he was burned out and wanted to stay home. He wanted to cancel the tour.""We understood that Tom wanted to be with his family. We all did. We all love our families and want to be with them. At the same time, this is our job," he explained. He added he was upset by the decision not to carrying on playing."We are so lucky to get to do what we do the way we do," said Hoppus "We love our work and want to be out there doing it, and it was being taken away from us. We had no say in it. Blink 182 has been a democracy since day one, and toward the end there it wasn’t. it was all about one person. It felt ugly. It really did. "Tom was deciding when we would tour, how we would tour, when we would have time off, when we would record, and how we could record. One person was dictating everything…Tom didn’t even call to quit the band. He had his manager do it for him."

I am still saying "Say It Ain’t So" about their split.

NO surprise last week when blink-182 drummer Travis Barker filed for divorce from his wife, former Miss USA Shanna Moakler. The couple, who star on MTV’s "Meet the Barkers," have fought in public for months. One friend of Travis says he finally ended the marriage because "Shanna is never home . . . She parties every night, sleeps until 1 p.m. every day, and doesn’t spend nearly enough time with the kids. And on top of that there have been rumors she hasn’t been faithful. He’s had it." Barker, via a rep, said, "I’m sad to say those allegations are true . . . My priority will remain my children." The couple have two kids together. But Moakler, via her rep, said: "I have been 100 percent faithful in my marriage and a devoted mother, two facts of which Travis is well aware. I still happen to be very much in love with Travis, and his using the media to take low blows at me isn’t just embarrassing, it’s hurtful. I feel he should be putting his family first instead of his pride." To which Barker responded, "The truth will prevail."

I take back what I said about Tucker Carlson being the first one out of DWTS3, she needs to be the first one out.

BLINK-182 bassist MARK HOPPUS has backed TOM DELONGE’s recent speculation the punk trio will never reform by revealing details of his new band. The rocker’s new project, featuring former bandmate TRAVIS BARKER on drums, is called PLUS 44 and a debut album is tentatively scheduled for October (06). Of the new record Hoppus says, "At first we had the idea that it would have a lot of electronic influences. "But then we bought this studio and after we moved the band into here, the whole vibe changed. There’s all kinds of stuff going on."

I love Blink 182 and I hope this not true. When they need they need the money they will be back. But sadly for the time being they are having successful solo careers.

Rocker Travis Barker, former drummer with the punk band Blink-182, and his wife, 1996 Miss USA and actress Shanna Moakler, are buying a house in Calabasas. The couple, in their early 30s, recently listed their home in Bel-Air at $8.5 million. Moakler said that they chose Calabasas because they "want to move a little further from the city." The house, in a celebrity neighborhood, is the same size as the pair’s Bel-Air residence, which has eight bedrooms and 10 1/2 bathrooms in slightly more than 12,000 square feet. The Calabasas home is a sprawling, newly built one-story with a backyard designed for entertaining. The Bel-Air estate, built in 2003, has three stories, serviced by an elevator. The home is where Barker’s MTV reality series, "Meet the Barkers," was filmed.

Their show might be over, but it does not look like their marriage is.
