Around the same time that Billy Zabka thought his toughest opponent was Danielson in The Karate Kid, he dealt with a much tougher one on Gimme a Break. He looks the same now as he did when he was 18 in that 1984 episode.
For the last two years, fans, like me, have been telling you how freaking amazing Cobra Kai is. Yet, you didn’t listen to us until the first two seasons started to stream on Netflix. Now, you are in the same boat as us, and you cannot wait to see what happens next.
Today, Netflix gave us so many answers. The third season will begin streaming on January 8th. Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) is alive because Cobra Kai never dies. Robbie (Tanner Buchanan) has been arrested, presumably because of what he did to Miguel. The best part to come out of this teaser is that we are getting a season four.
It is going to be a long three months and six days after watching that promo. We got some important questions answered, but I have a feeling that is just the tip (as in the first few minutes) of the season. We should expect so much more.
I actually feel bad for the series’ creators, Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald. Why? Because they have to find a way to top the epic, school clearing fight scene at the end of season two. I am a chick who hates dick flick things like that, but man, I don’t even think I blinked from the first punch until the last one.
If you have not seen Cobra Kai, what are you waiting for? How many more people have to tell you to watch it? It is available on Netflix, and there is nothing else we can do thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.
A few weeks ago, it was revealed that YouTube was not going to air the third season of Cobra Kai even though it was already shot. Then Sony announced that they were shopping the series around. Today, we found out that Netflix decided to save the amazing show.
Later on this year, Netflix will begin streaming the first two seasons, and then they will debut the third one sometime after that. I hope they don’t wait too long because fans like me are waiting to find out what happens next in Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny’s (Billy Zabka) saga that has lasted over 35 years, two movies and two streaming services. Very impressive!
Executive Producers Josh Heald, and Jon Hurwitz say that their new home allows them to “explore opportunities to further expand The Karate Kid universe.” I wonder if that means Martin Kove will get his own spinoff? Is it wrong that I would like to see his character exit the Cobra Kai series? It should be easy to do because they set that up in the season two finale. I won’t tell you how because I don’t want to spoil the show for you if you have not seen it yet.
If you have not seen it, then I highly suggest that you stream it as soon as it is on Netflix. It is one of the best shows on television these days. Don’t get me started on the fight scenes. That is normally not my thing, but man, they make this chick go gaga over them.

We are still several months away from the premiere for Cobra Kai’s third season, and today the show’s creator gave us a little spoiler.
When season 2 ended, Miquel and Robbie were involved in an epic Karate fight that involved most of their high school. The fight finally came to an end when Robbie kicked Miquel over the railing, leaving the latter in a coma fighting or his life.
Will Xolo Mariduena be back for the third season? The show’s EP Jon Hurwitz said on social media today, “I can tell you that @Xolo_Mariduena will return to play Miguel in Season 3. But I can’t tell you whether or not the character is a ghost. #CobraKai” I think he will live, but he will be left paralyzed. Maybe Johnny Lawrence’s son will go to jail for what he did to his father’s prodigy.
Sound confusing? Then that means you have not watched the greatest show of the last two years. Check Cobra Kai out on YouTube, I promise you will love it as much me and millions of other people.
For over 35 years, Billy Zabka and Ralph Macchio have played arch nemesis in the Karate Kid movies and the followup series Cobra Kai, but how do they feel about each other in real life?
Jenny McCarthy asked Zabka if they are friends in real life on her radio show? He told her, “We are good friends in real life.” He says that they are “different but the same”. In fact, they ride together to the set and jam to music as they get lost. A lot like a scene in season one of Cobra Kai.
Talking about their series, does Johnny Lawrence do his own fighting on it? Believe it or not, he does. He is 53 (can you believe it?) and still doing his own stunts! That is why they say Cobra Kais never die.
I hope the show never does either. Watch all of season two streaming on YouTube Premium now. Can I tell you it is even better than the fantastic first season?
