Matt Rife is one of the most successful touring comedians of this decade, so it makes sense that LiveNation thinks he would be a good spokesman for them.
Therefore, I can understand why they would ask him to help promote Billy Idol’s upcoming tour with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts in a hilarious video.
The funny man used the singer’s lyrics against him. And as funny as it was, it was also sad for two reasons. One, Rife wasn’t even born when any of the hits came out. Two, the mustache.
Back to the Rocker. The It’s A Nice Day To…Tour Again tour hits the road on April 30th in Phoenix and goes all the way through until September 25th.
I cannot believe I have never seen him live. And I will be missing this tour because he isn’t coming to Los Angeles. So I guess I will be dancing with myself.

Over the weekend, he attended the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and met his idol, as in legendary rocker Billy Idol! And it was a sweet moment in time it was!

Here is an unfun fact. Even though Billy Idol has been eligible to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 2007, the idiots have never nominated the man who made punk bitchin’ here in the States!
Billy Idol is going to do something that no other musician has ever done. On April 8th, he is going to play the first-ever concert at the Black Canyon of the Colorado River at Hoover Dam.
The Rocker is doing this because “The North American West is experiencing the worst drought to befall the region in over one thousand years, a crisis that will increasingly affect the day-to-day lives of millions around the world in a myriad of ways. This is a daunting environmental and human challenge that I’m committed to raising awareness of.”

If I could go, I would. Imagine how awesome the acoustics will be at the Dam? Rebel Yell will be totally haunting.
Billy Idol is going to get his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this Friday in front of Amoeba Music. However, the Rocker couldn’t wait until then to see it. Therefore, he took his family (so he wasn’t dancing with himself only) to check it out yesterday, even though it isn’t finished!
And with a rebel yell, I think he loved it.
When it is finally completed for his ceremony, it will be hot in the city of stars!
Seriously, I have seen celebs visit their Stars long after they have been placed. But I have never seen one check it out before it was finalized. It just makes me love him even more, more, more.
Billy Idol played Chile for the first time tonight in his 50-year career. Therefore, you can imagine that a surplus of fans came out to see him. However, not all of them had tickets, so they tried to break into the venue to see the Rocker, who never ages.
Since the rebel yelling from the cops didn’t stop them from trying to get into the concert, the police used tear gas. So much of it that it leaked onto the stage and caused the singer to stop the show midway because his eyes were burning and he was coughing.
Since the show must go on, it did. And that is why he will always be hot in whatever city he brings his act to.
