In the ’60s, we had the Rat Back. The ’80s were about the Brat Pack. Twenty years after that, we got to know Frat Pack. And now it is all about the S.A.T. (Seniors Acting Terribly) Pack.
Some of the S.A.T. Pack movies are 80 For Brady, Book Club, Summer Camp, Poms, and Going In Style. On July 26th, Susan Sarandon, Bette Midler, Megan Mullally, and Sheryl Lee Ralph will star in The Fabulous Four.
The film follows three life-long friends (Sarandon, Mullally, and Ralph) who travel to Key West, Florida to be bridesmaids in a surprise wedding of their college girlfriend Marilyn (Midler). Once there, sisterhoods are rekindled, the past rises up again in all its glory, and there are enough sparks, drinks and romance to change all their lives in ways they never expected.
As someone who loves Pack movies, I can’t wait to see this movie because it is good fun and future goals.
A few weeks ago, Bette Midler went on Twitter and said she wanted to join Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. But, so far, she hasn’t heard back from Bravo and Andy Cohen.
So, yesterday, she thought she would try to get on another show. “Since I’m now using this website to pitch myself on TV shows, I would also like to play Melissa Schemmenti’s mother on Abbott Elementary.'” the actress wrote. “If you see Quinta Brunson, please tell her.”
Quinta, it would be brilliant casting because Midler looks like Lisa Ann Walter. Plus, they are both comedic geniuses. Imagine the zaniness you could write for them!
Bette Midler played a housewife in Down and Out in Beverly Hills. And that would make her perfect for a Bravo show.
Even she thinks so. Because she wrote, “Is it too late for me to become a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills? I’ve never watched it, but I am in the mood to talk some shit. And to get paid for it? A dream! #RHOBH”
Someone tell Andy Cohen this needs to happen because Lisa Rinna, Kim Richards, and Denise Richards can’t even compete with her.
Disney+ released the first trailer for Hocus Pocus 2; and I can already hear the excitement to see Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Middler, and Kathy Najimy reprise their roles as the Sanderson Sisters on September 30th.
The sequel is described as “It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.”
Did you broom stand at attention after you watched the teaser?
And am I the only one who has never seen the original and has no interest in ever seeing it?
Before Jenifer Lewis was the Diva of Black-ish, she played a character called Diva in Beaches. She has not aged single day since she starred in that 1988 movie when she was 30 years old.
