Patrick Dempsey and his wife, Jillian, welcomed twin boys into the world this afternoon in Los Angeles. Their names are Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen. No other details are known at this time. Interestingly, the children’s middle names are taken from their dad, Patrick Galen Dempsey. According to their rep, "The family is resting comfortably, and they’re excited." Dempsey, 41, plays "Dr. McDreamy / Derek Shepherd" on the hit show, "Grey’s Anatomy." The couple have one other child together, a 4-year old daughter, Talula.

When will a celebrity give their kids a normal name already?

Actress Katey Sagal and her husband, writer-producer Kurt Sutter, 43, welcomed their first child, daughter Esmé Louise Sutter, on Jan. 10, PEOPLE has learned exclusively. The baby was born via surrogate, her rep confirms. Sagal, 52, who was most recently seen in a recurring role on ABC’s Boston Legal (and rose to fame playing Married with Children’s Peg Bundy), married Sutter, a producer for FX’s The Shield, on Oct. 2, 2004 at their home in Los Angeles. "The ceremony was very homey," said Sagal at the time. "I got everything I ever wanted – even a disco ball!" The couple’s new daughter joins Sarah, 12, and Jackson, 10, Sagal’s children from a previous marriage.

Sean Combs and girlfriend Kim Porter are the proud new parents of twin girls. "Diddy received an early Christmas gift! It gives us great joy to announce the arrival of Diddy’s twin girls," says Diddy’s rep Robert Zimmerman in a released statement. "The beautiful, healthy baby girls were born this morning with Diddy by mother, Kim Porter’s side. The first arrived at 7:56 AM weighing 5 pounds, followed 2 minutes later by the second at 5 pounds, 4 ozs. Diddy had a plane on stand by in Toronto where he is filming "Raisin in the Sun" and made it just in the nick of time for the delivery. Both Kim and the girls are doing great." Combs and Porter also have a nine-year-old son named Christian. The 37-year-old singer has another son, Justin, 12, from a previous relationship with celebrity stylist Misa Hylton-Brim.

Fashion designer Stella McCartney and her husband Alasdhair Willis have welcomed the latest addition to their family – a baby daughter, Bailey Linda Olwyn Willis. The little girl was born on Friday in London, weighing 7lbs 14 oz. She is a second child for the couple, who celebrated the birth of son Miller in March 2005, and a fourth grandchild for Stella’s father Paul McCartney The tireless animal rights campaigner’s pregnancy hardly impacted on her busy schedule, with the 35-year-old recently announcing the continuation of her successful collaboration with sportswear brand Adidas, and preparing for the launch of her organic facial care range in spring 2007.

Elvis Costello and wife Diana Krall are the parents of twin boys. The new arrivals — named Dexter Henry Lorcan and Frank Harlan James — were born on Wednesday, according to a statement from the couple. "We are ecstatic!" the statement continued, going on to add that "mother and sons are doing splendidly." The births came on the couple’s third wedding anniversary. The statement provided no other details on the twins. Costello, 52, is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer known for songs like "Veronica," "Pump It Up" and "Alison." He most recently collaborated with Allen Toussaint on the album "The River in Reverse." The 42-year-old Krall, a jazz singer, released her latest album, "From This Moment On," in September. The couple live in New York. This is Costello’s third marriage, and Krall’s first.
