Believe it or not, since 1997, there have been 14 Air Bud movies, and next year we are getting the 15th one. However, Air Bud Entertainment is having a hard time finding their star. So, producer Robert Vince is asking for your help.
Do you have an athletic (preferably one who can play basketball) pure-bred Golden Retriever that you think would be purrfect for the part? Then you can submit your best friend to Air Bud Search. Even if your Golden doesn’t win the part, there are other things they can win, like official Air Bud jerseys and signed movie merchandise, or a trip to the Hollywood premiere.
In Air Bud Returns, 12-year-old Jacob has always dreamt of being a star basketball player. After the passing of his father, that dream felt even more impossible. But everything changes when he and his mom move into his dad’s childhood home in Fernfield. There, Jacob discovers an original VHS of the Air Bud movie in his father’s belongings and has a chance meeting of a neglected golden retriever he names Buddy. Together, they embark on a journey of healing, unite a team of misfits, and chase a championship. Through it all they learn to play from the heart, believe in each other, and always take the shot!
Good luck! I hope your puppy becomes the next Air Bud.

On July 11th, Superman is flying into movie theaters. However, we are not really talking about the Man of Steel. Instead, we are talking about Krypto, his dog!
Milk-Bone saw an opportunity to give the Superdog his own treat. So starting this month, your best friend can be special too by enjoying the limited edition bones that will give them superpowers.
Maybe not superpowers, but they will feel like a superhero with each bite!
“For over a century, Milk-Bone® has been trusted to help pet parents make everyday moments with their dogs feel extraordinary,” said Gail Hollander, CMO at J.M. Smucker. “Now, with the SUPERMAN partnership, Milk-Bone® is honoring the strength, loyalty and love that our four-legged companions show us every day.”
Along with the super box, you can download the free online comic book, Superman: A Friendship Unleashed, which tells the story of Superman and Krypto!
At the rate that superhero movies are going to the dogs, soon we are going to have to have comic conventions dedicated to DogPool and Krypto! And I am okay with that, if they also include Church from Pet Sematary.
Yesterday was a big day for LA Dodger’s Shohei Ohtani, and what a day it was.
We are on the tail end of the dog days of summer. But it wasn’t too late for Ohtani to celebrate his best friend, Decoy.
The pitcher and his dog were honored with a bobblehead at the game, and the fans lined up early to get one.
Then, when they got inside, they witnessed a Major League first. Ohanti’s dog, wearing a baseball jersey with his dad’s number 17 on it, threw the first pitch! Creating an arfdorable moment that delighted everyone in the crowd,
The night was only getting started. As it went on, Ohtani scored his 42nd homerun and his 41st and 42nd stolen bases for the year. That is why he is the $70 million man.
They say three times is a charm, and the baseball played had a charming night,
On Friday, Lucy May, 10 months old, made her baseball debut as the bat girl for the Clearwater Threshers.
How did it go? She scored a home run in the hearts of the crowd, even though she made a foul on the field.
During practice, she was introduced to the baseball fans, and immediately things went wrong. Her master let her off the leash to retrieve the bat, and instead, she ran away. She then went over towards first base and stopped. What did she do? She did a doo doo.
And with that, she is the star of the Philadelphia Phillies minor league team! Go, Lucy May!
Hopefully, she will be called up to the majors soon.
But until then, she isn’t going anywhere. The Threshers declared, “She’s over 6 years younger than Layla was when she started, so she’s still learning.
“She’s got lots of time until our home opener in April, and we know she’ll get it just right soon ”
For the first time since I lived in Miami and would go to NY Yankees vs NY Mets games, I am going to be watching minor league games.
If you have seen A Quiet Place: Day One, you know that Lupita Nyong’o is carrying a cat around the movie. Any feline owner will tell you that it is hard to keep a kitty quiet when you are running with them or just holding them. And all creatures must be silent in A Quiet Place so the monsters won’t get them.
Well, there is a new trend on TitTok where cat owners run with their masters to see if they will survive in the movie. Most cats remain quiet. When I tried it, my Dominatrix started meowing, “Here she is! Go get her!”
That is me, but what about the Oscar winner? She tried it with Yoyo, her orange baby with a long tail. How did they do? The kitty will make it to Day Two. Lupita would not.
Back to Lupita. There were rumors she was afraid of cats until she made the movie. However, Frodo the Cat won her over, and now she is a Cat Mama!
