Clay Aiken honored by Bush
September 7th, 2006 under Admirable People, American Idol 1-5. [ Comments: none ]

President Bush continues to closely ally his administration with American Idols. After meeting with the current crop this summer, he has now appointed Clay Aiken to the President’s Committee for People With Intellectual Disabilities, according to a White House release.Clay has devoted considerable charitable efforts to this cause, so it’s not a random celebrity appointment. Interesting

Idol Chatter (Thanks Clinton)

Good for him. He sincerely does care about People with Intellectual Disabilities, so he really deserves this.

New release dates for Ruben and Fantasia
August 29th, 2006 under American Idol 1-5. [ Comments: none ]

Just a quick bulletin to fans of Ruben and Fantasia to confirm that their new albums have been postponed.
Ruben’s The Return moves from Oct. 3 to Oct. 17, while Fantasia’s as-yet-untitled second album moves off Oct. 17 to Nov. 14 (also the date for Taylor and Katharine’s albums). And the date-juggling continues

Idol Chatter

And it still will not help album sales because both are going to still bomb.

Constantine blogs about The Wedding Singer
August 27th, 2006 under American Idol 1-5, Stage. [ Comments: none ]

The Wedding Singer

Needless to say…I am very excited!!

WOW!! My Broadway debut!! Sorta surreal.
So much to learn in so little time…but they got the right guy on the job.

How flippin’ sore…(soar?) is my body right now??? Oh man!!
Lots of dancin and stuff to learn.

This cast is so AMAZING I don’t even know where to begin…
They first did this show in Seattle and of course have been on Broadway for about 6 months now.

I was at the opening of Wedding Singer and I remember saying to myself, "Man, that would be fun!!"

and here we are…

THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING SHOW!!! SO FUN, GREAT ENERGY, SWEET LOVE STORY AND AN AMAZING CAST AND CREW!! ENDLESS 80′S FUN!!!!!

They have welcomed me with open arms…they have invited me into the "Circle" they do onstage right before the show…I have respectfully declined so far cause it’s too soon. That just goes to show you how gracious they are.

I’ll be frank…August and September have been very slow for them (traditionally these months are with the end of summer, back to school and the Jewish Hollidays) but I am REALLY HOPING THINGS PICK UP WHEN I GET IN THERE!!! YOWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

YES, I OFFICIALLY OPEN FRIDAY NIGHT SEPT 8TH @ 8PM!!!! YIKES!!!

I have been in rehearsals for a few days and have blocked the whole show. (this means the stage manager has taught me where I am and where I go in each scene)

Learned most of the big numbers, "Single" and "Saturday Night" and others….

I HAVE OBSERVED THE SHOW FOR THE LAST WEEK OR SO AS WELL BOTH FROM THE AUDIENCE AND BACK STAGE.

Sorry to those Wed Heads that have waited by the stage door for the others and prolly witnessed me just wisk right by you after the show…again…too soon for me to go there. I trust you understand…thanks and come back when I get in there on the 8th!!!

So…it seems there are a couple of conflicts, no?

*THE VIPER ROOM IS STILL ON!!! I WILL BE OUT OF THE SHOW (WS) ON THE 19TH AND 20TH*

*THE GREEK FESTIVAL IS STILL ON!!! I WILL BE OUT OF THE SHOW (WS) THE 30th AND 1ST OF OCTOBER.*

OTHER THAN THAT I AM IN THERE FOR THE LONG HALL AND OF COURSE WILL MAKE THOSE SHOWS UP…EXTENDING MY RUN. OF COURSE IF WE ARE DOIN GREAT…GB MIGHT WANNA STAY AROUND THE BOARDS (not fan boards) FOR A BIT!!!

I have been approached about many other shows…

Jaques Brel is alive and well… is one of the most amazing shows playing in NYC right now. I was offerred the part and we are working to figure out when and how I can do a run of the show perhaps this winter. Yeah!! This would really be amazing. It’s like "Queens Blvd." and "Aquaman"….best of both worlds!!! Thank you to the crew at Brel for being so cool!!

This is no way puts my recordings on the back burner…in fact I prefer the studios here and lets face it…my days are pretty free to ROCK!!!

Planning on some Monday shows in the city and a HUGE Halloween show if we can pull it off..so stay tuned for those…and those of you that don’t get to NYC much…or NEVER!! Get off yo’ ass and come thru!!! Let’s party like it is 1986!!!!

Thank you all for the amazing words of encouragement during this process…I love you all very much!!! Stay tuned…

BUY YOUR TIX NOW!!!!!!

LOVE,

CONSTANTINE~ (MySpace)

Dave Navarro turning into Simon Cowell
August 25th, 2006 under American Idol 1-5, Rock Star: Supernova, Simon Cowell. [ Comments: none ]

The outspoken individual seated on a throne during this reality show, which aims to find a new lead singer for the rock group Supernova, is co-host, guitarist and alternative rocker Dave Navarro.Soft on the women, tough on the guys, Navarro, formerly with Jane’s Addiction and, briefly, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, is a rising star in this role, rivalling American Idol’s Simon Cowell. He also uses Cowell’s dressing room, which may or may not help.

Sydney Morning Herald

Who do you think is more insulted by the comparism Simon or Dave? I think Simon!

I’ll be doing this between shows for the next week or two and hopefully we can get alot done in a short amount of time. Thanks again for all you love, support, and prayers. God bless y’all.-Chris (via MySpace)
