When did Ryan Seacrest get so tall? |

Jennifer Lopez Tweeted the above picture and said, “On the set playin around with the boys ;-).” Looking at that photo, I had to wonder when did Ryan Seacrest get so tall because he looks like he is the tallest one there. I have seen in him person a few times and he just didn’t stand up as high as he is in that group photo when I saw him. Now when it comes to Steven Tyler, he is a like a freaking giant. So I really have to wonder if the American Idol host got in to Tom Cruise’s shoe closet?

They are f*cking up American Idol even more |

First it was bad when American Idol let Paula Abdul leave the show, then it got even worse when they let Simon Cowell go too and then it got even more worse when they announced their replacements would be J-Lo and Steven Tyler. After they announced them as the new judges with the old Dog it seemed like things were on the up and up because they said were going back to the three judge format.
Well guess what, Nigel Lythgoe made my life so much easier today because he let TV Guide in on even more changes and I think they are so bad I now have my reason to stop watching the show.
Here is a list of changes that Mr Capped Teeth told TVG:
– The finalists will face new challenges, including contests to make the best music video, to promote themselves, and to work with a band and dancers for an awards show-style performance.
– The producers have also eliminated the round that shrinks the contestants from a group of 24 to 12, instead opting to just go straight to the top 12. “I didn’t think [the top 24] were very good, I was bored with them by the time they got there,” Lythgoe says of previous seasons. It’s unclear if this means the judges will choose the top 12 and what will replace the episodes that usually cover the early voting rounds. Both Fox and the producers declined to elaborate.
– As previously announced, theme weeks will focus on decades rather than a particular artist.
He went on to say that the show is focusing more on creating an artist than a winner. What and ever, it is a TV show and we really don’t give a sh!t what happens to the winner after the finale.
Could you imagine Clay Aiken or Chris Daughtry trying to do those awards show-style performances? Not everyone can do them and doesn’t mean they can’t be the American Idol.
Yes I hate the 24 too, but you know what it let’s us get to know the singers more before they reach that critical Top 12. You know you can’t judge the singers from just their auditions. Like TVG I want to know what they are going to do to replace those three to four weeks of broadcast. I also don’t like the decade theme weeks because if we do a new decade every week will be going back to the early 20th century before even Nigel was born. At least I think it was before he was born.
I seriously don’t understand why they are making all of these changes to show that was doing perfectly well without them. You would have thought after this summer’s disastrous ratings and feedback for SYTYCD because of all of the changes that Nigel implemented for the show, that someone would have taught him the expression, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Seriously Nigel how many shows does your ego have to f*ck up before you realize change isn’t always a good thing???

The new American Idol judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are out on the road with Randy Jackson auditioning the contestants for the 10th season and reinstated EP Nigel Lythgoe shared the above pictures on Twitter. He Tweeted the top picture yesterday and said, “I am loving the #AmericanIdol talent in Milwaukee” but didn’t show her face. Well today we are getting to see the mug of one of the contestants, because Nigel said “Meet one of Season 10’s Contestants in Milwaukee, Hendrix.” I don’t know about but Hendrix totally has my vote! Maybe there is hope for season 10? That is if Hendrix lifts his legs and uses J-Lo’s leg as a hydrant!!!

Nigel Lythgoe who recently returned to American Idol as an Executive Producer after a two year break Tweeted this picture of the two new judges at work with the old one and the original host. I don’t know about you, but I think it is weird to see Randy Jackson sitting at the judges table with Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler and not joined by Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. It just doesn’t feel the same to me. We shall see in January how the two new judges work out when the show comes back to Fox.

In case you still care, American Idol waited two months to tell us what we already knew…Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson will be judging the show when it comes back for its 10th season in January. For those of you who don’t know who those judges are, Jennifer Lopez also goes by the name J-Lo when she feels like it. She is a singer, actress and a dancer and hasn’t really had a successful hit since American Idol has been on the air. Steven Tyler is Liv Tyler’s dad, I know the dude looks like a lady but he’s a man. He is in a band called Aerosmith, not spelled Arrowsmith as the people who have never heard of him think it is spelled. His band had big hits before most of the people who are auditioning for the show were born. You might have heard his band’s song Dream On being destroyed by the contestants in previous seasons and I hope they continue the trend in front of him. Boy will they be shocked he sang that song. Oh and recently Tyler is known for falling off the stage, I really hope the Idol producers don’t strap him in to his seat cause I would enjoy watching him fall out of it again.
When it comes to them judging, I so think they will suck and I am not sure I am going to find out because why would I want to watch them?
