Is Stana Katic returning to Castle for season 8?
May 12th, 2015 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

A few weeks ago Nathan Fillion re-signed his contract to remain on Castle for at least another season, but Stana Katic had not. So we questioned whether or not she will back. Today, just hours after the season finale aired, she agreed to do one more season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it might be the show’s last. In fact, they say that season 8 might only be 13 episodes.
Something I am OK with. The show was a mess this season up until the Saturday Night Live episode and it lost that loving that feeling with the new showrunner. Even though he is leaving, I am still OK with this show being 13 and out. Are you?

UPDATE: Stana Katic released a statement about her re-signing with Castle. And ABC denied the The Hollywood Reporter story that next season, as of now, will be Castle’s last.

Forever gets no Resurrection but these shows will Galavant on on ABC!
May 7th, 2015 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

ABC has cancelled Cristela, Forever, Resurrection and The Taste. I am not surprised that Cristela and Resurrection got the ax because both shows set up for crappy seasons next year. I am saddened about Forever’s demise because it was a strong enjoyable show. Hopefully Syfy, will give it a second life.
When it comes to what shows will live on on ABC are Galavant (that photo is Timothy Omundson‘s reaction to his show coming back), Castle, Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, Scandal, Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, Once Upon a Time, American Crime, Secrets and Lies, Fresh Off the Boat, The Middle, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, blackish, America’s Funniest Videos, Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor, Shark Tank, Beyond the Tank and 20/20.
Last Man Standing is the last show standing on its future, hopefully it will be back for another season.

Castle pokes fun of Saturday Night Live tonight!
May 4th, 2015 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

It took 7 seasons, but Castle is finally doing a Saturday Night Live like episode called Dead from New York tonight at 10p on ABC.
When Sid Ross (aka Lorne Michaels) is murdered, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) have to find out who it did. The husband and wife discover that there are as many suspects as there are secrets about his life. As they investigate the crime, the writers of the procedural comedy wrote many funny lines dissing the NBC sketch comedy. Lines that you will find yourself laughing at and thinking they are so right on.
When it comes to the suspects, the first one is the star of the show Mickey Franks (Jaleel White) who is about to get fired from it because he has been acting crazy. Is he crazy enough to kill his boss? Danny Valentine (Gregory Harrison) is like the Steve Martin and has been a friend of Ross’ since before the start of the show. Did something come between them that lead to him killing his buddy? Was it one of the staff? Was it someone from his past? Just when you think you know, there’s a twist that makes you think differently. Will you figure it out before Castle and Beckett or will they beat you to it?
You just have tune in this episode that reminds how truly good this show is as it makes fun of one that isn’t.
On a side note, I know that Fillion signed on for another season, but Katic hasn’t. If she doesn’t put her Hancock on the dotted line, I say it is time to let this show go. Both of them are the show, and without both of them there’s no reason to go on. What do you think?

Beyond the Tank takes you beyond the Shark Tank
May 1st, 2015 under ABC, Shark Tank. [ Comments: none ]

Many of us have spent our Friday nights watching Tank on ABC, wondering what happens to the entrepreneurs after they leave the room. For the most part, the only way we know if they are successful or not is if we see their products on the shelves or on TV.
Tonight at 9p, Beyond the Tank updates us on their success or failure. For the next three weeks, not only do they look at the people who got a deal, but also some of them who didn’t.
On the premiere episode, Robert Herjavec visits Tipsy Elves, who make a different kind of Christmas sweater. We find out what they have been up to, how much they made and how they plan to branch out.
Also on the show, Desmond John visits Deboned Baby Back Ribs, who makes boneless ribs and he hit a major snag after the show. John tells him to fix it or he is walking away. What will he do?
Finally, Carter Kostler didn’t get an offer in the tank for his Define Bottle, but the 16 year old didn’t let that stop him. See what he has been doing since he was rejected from the popular show.
Even though Beyond the Tank is only going to be on for three weeks, the show definitely makes a case for becoming a weekly series. So tune in to ABC tonight, next Friday and the Friday after at 9p post Shark Tank to find out what happens after we saw them last.

Emily’s Revenge is complete
April 29th, 2015 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

After 4 seasons, ABC is saying goodbye to Revenge after 2 more episodes according to Entertainment Weekly.
Fans of the show, felt it was time to end. People who stopped watching it, knew it was over a long time ago. And people who studied the ratings knew the writing was on the wall.
If that was not enough, the fact that Emily’s father was alive, meant it was time for the show to die. The show also lost its identity when Emily was revealed as Amanda Clarke. But the biggest nail in the coffin was when Victoria blew herself up and found herself in one.
Are you sad that Revenge is over or are you going to miss it?
