As we all know Charlie Hunnam dropped out of playing Christian Grey in the movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey, well today they announced his replacement. According to Variety, Jamie Dorman will play the sex-crazed billionaire. Who is he? He was the Sheriff on Once Upon a Time who was sleeping with Regina and when he dumped her, she ripped out his heart and crushed it in her hand.
Now when it comes to his casting, I think he is cuter than Hunnam but I don’t think he is right for the role. Obviously, they have a look in mind because he looks like the guy he replaced. However, the rest of us have a different idea of who should play the role. A lot of us were thinking that Matt Bomer or Ian Somerhalder looked like the man we fantasized about when we read the triology, and they wanted bearded curly haired men who don’t ooze the sex appeal that we would let tie us up and spank us.
What do we know; we are just the people who are no longer going to pay to see it.

Charlie Hunnam’s 50 Shades salary was what Christian Grey makes an hour |

As we all know Charlie Hunnam dropped out of Fifty Shades of Grey, but we don’t know why. Well The Hollywood Reporter says he was only going to make $125,000 for the movie. I bet once he got to the part of the book where we find out that that is what Christian Grey makes an hour, he was probably like I am out of here. I mean this is one of the most anticipated movies and they were paying him chump change. Yes, he is just making it here in Hollywood. But, the film will be making that every hour its opening weekend.
Plus the stuff he is going to do it, he needs to be paid more. Because we sure as heck know he will not be getting an Oscar for the role, so he should get compensation for it. Unless he brokered a deal like the one that the actors from Star Wars came up with back in the late ’70s. I mean think of the merchandising they can do for it. Granted instead of the Fifty Shades toys being sold in a toy store, they will be sold in adult toy store.

Ever since Charlie Hunnam was announced as Christian Grey in the movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey, fans of the book were understandably upset about the casting. Well today the Shaders (including me) got some really good news because he dropped out of the film version. Focus Features released this statement about his exit, “The filmmakers of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.â€
No word from Sons of Anarchy’s Executive Producer Kurt Sutter or FX, if this is really the case. I mean does anyone else really believe that they didn’t know until now that his schedule on the drama would conflict with him filming the movie? Or maybe it is only me?
Oh well, maybe now they will finally give it to Matt Bomer as many of us are hoping for. And if they can’t get him, I am once again suggesting they look at Hart of Dixie’s Scott Porter. Who do you think should play the part?

Jimmy Kimmel gets couples on the street to read from Fifty Shades of Grey! |

Many people including myself are not happy with the two actors who were cast as the leads in the Fifty Shade of Grey movie. Well we are not alone because Jimmy Kimmel Live! feels the same way as we do about Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson, so the show had couples on the street audition for the role by reading from the salacious book. Do you think that Focus Features made the right choice or did they miss out on finding the perfect Christian and Ana by not walking down Hollywood Blvd to find them?

Well now I don’t want to see 50 Shades of Grey |

E.L. James announced on Twitter today who will be playing the leads in the Focus Features’s film based on her books 50 Shades of Grey and they are Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.
Hunnam stars on FX’s Sons of Anarchy and Dakota is Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith’s daughter.
Neither one looks or feels like they should be leads in these films. I think Charlie is too manly for the part, and Christian should pretty boy not a rugged one. And Ana shouldn’t be as naive as Dakota has been coming off as in her past roles. Plus Grey is a ginger and Ana is a brunette.
If I were casting the roles, I would’ve given it to Matt Bomer or Scott Porter and Lucy Hale. They are who I pictured when I read the book.
To me Hunnam and Johnson feel more like they should be starring in the Lifetime Movie Network version of 50 Shades as compared to playing the parts on the big screen.
So look at their pictures below and tell me if they made the right choice casting them as the leads.
UPDATE: Proud mama Melanie Griffith Tweeted about her daughter’s role and maybe she didn’t use the best wording. Especially since in the books cum is spelled as come. Just saying because “Here she comes” can be read in two different ways. You know as here she comes as a movie star and here she comes after Christian Grey f*cks her over and over again.
