This morning, on a repeat of Live with Kelly and Mark, the show had veterinarian Lisa Lippman on to teach Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos how to do Doggie CPR.
The vet brought with her a few dogs from Best Friends New Jersey to make the segment arfdorable.
What could go wrong? Well… The set designer thought it would be fun to make the stage look like a park with two benches and fake bushes.
What happens when dogs see a bush? They mark their territory, and that was what a Golden Retriever did as the married couple was talking to their guest.
Since he, and yes, it was he, was hidden by one of the benches, is a big dog; you could hear it before you saw it.
Did the Consuelos get upset about it? Not at all, the dog owners just laughed it off because moments like that are why kids and animals make great live television!
