Bryan Cranston won an Emmy for his guest star role in The Studio, and he told Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live the crazy thing he did to prepare to play Griffin Mill.
The character called for him to do drugs, but Cranston hasn’t really done that many, including mushrooms.
So one night in Vegas… You know it is going to be a good story.
Cranston went to Sphere to see Dead & Company with Seth Rogen, Catherine O’Hara, and Ike Barinholtz. When in Vegas seeing the Dead, you have to bite the bullet and try some.
Therefore, he asked Barinholtz if he had any mushrooms for him and Catherine O’Hara to try, and his co-star told him they would start him off with a microdose. So Cranston and the actress were each given a piece of chocolate to see what doing shrooms is all about.
Did the Breaking Bad actor have a Drew Carey experience? Sadly, nope. He said it was like drinking three sips of wine. So he really deserved the Emmy for that performance because I believed he was high AF.
True story. One time, I had to babysit my friend who wanted to try mushrooms, and he also barely had a reaction. I don’t know who was more disappointed about that,
