What is better than one Idris Elba? Two of them. Even if one of them is made of wax!
Believe it or not, the DJ who moonlights as a sexy actor did not have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds. But the museum in London rectified their wrong and molded a life-size candle in his image. It even has his charming smile, but that is not all they have in common.
The London native said: “It’s truly an honour to be recognised in this way and even more special to know this other version of me will be standing tall in London. So, even when I’m away, a part of me is always at home. The process has been fascinating. It’s not dissimilar to prepping for a movie role – working with talented artists to flesh out the character, getting the costume just right, but this time it’s for me! It’s really surreal to see another version of me standing in Madame Tussauds London, it feels like a full circle moment.”
The other version of him is standing in his personal Christian Louboutin dress shoes, and is wearing an Eve of Winston suit that he designed.
The sculptors did such a spot-on likeness that the people of London will think he is always there with them, even if he is on the other side of the pond doing what he does best.
Ladies, the wax figure is on display now, so you can pose with him and pretend you are with the real thing. It is not as good, but it is pretty close.
Talking about posing, to see him pose with the six James Bond statues, then click here.
2025 has been a tough year because of the celebrities we lost, like Polly Holiday, Danielle Spencer, Loni Anderson, Loretta Switt, Diane Keaton, Julian McMahon, Rob Reiner, Leslie Charleson, Anthony Geary, Tristan Rogers, Diane Ladd, Michelle Trachtenberg, D’Angelo, Connie Francis, Sly Stone, Brian Wilson, George Wendt, Nicky Katt, and so many more.
Jeopardy honored five of those who are no longer with us, with the In Memoriam 2025 category. This was a great tribute to the five greats. It brought tears to my eyes because they will be missed.
I have been a fan of Stumble since the pilot. However, the mockumentary about a Junior College Cheer team has gotten lost on Friday nights at 8:30p, and people are not watching.
NBC is hoping to change that by airing repeats on Monday nights starting on January 6th, according to Variety. And I hope it works.
Stumble is the type of show where you have to use your brain while you watch because the humor is smart. Well, there are a lot of dumb jokes, but you have to pay attention because they are not that dumb. Think of it like Clue or Knives Out, as in funny and smart.
New episodes will still air on Fridays after Happy’s Place.
Before Rob Reiner was known as Meathead on All in the Family, they called him Teen-Ager on Hey Landlord. He never aged from when he was nearly 20 in that 1967 episode.
