Before Calista Flockhart was a lawyer on Ally McBeal, she was going to need one on Guiding Light. She looks the same now as she did when she was 24 in that 1989 episode.
I love wasabi. And I love fucking with people by eating a huge blob of it when I eat sushi. However, even I could not attempt this Guinness World Record.
What is it? It is the Most Wasabi Eaten in a Minute.
How much did the winner eat? Takamasa Suzuki from Japan ate 13.79 oz of the Japanese horseradish in one minute on the set of Lo Show Dei Record in Milan, Italy. He annihilated two other co-speed eaters, who did not even come close.
Back to Suzuki. I am sure he was seeing things clearly going back to the days he was in his mother’s belly. Can you imagine eating that much in that short of a time? I can’t
Chevy Chase was photographed covered in blood looking like he got in a literal cat fight. So, is that what happened? Yes, it is! However, it was only for Catnip, the movie his just finished filming.
While this was just fictional, I assume that some of co-stars would have volunteered to make it look real without makeup. Too soon?
Zoe Saldaña is one of the busiest actresses in Hollywood who has been in most of the top-grossing movies. This year, her career was solidified when she was honored with an Oscar nomination for her work in Emilia Pérez.
Therefore, she is a verified actress. And as one, she has a unique talent that makes her more castable than the rest. What is it? She can cry on demand.
Yesterday, when she was on Jimmy Kimmel Live, he asked her to demonstrate the talent she has been using to get things she has wanted ever since she was a kid.
So, the host gave her an IHOP menu and asked her to read from the page. Was she able to make water come to her eyes? She did. And not only that, she was able to ugly cry!
Bravo! Bravo! I hope she takes center stage at the Oscars and wins her first statuette from the Academy. Because that is a talent that most thespians wish they had!
Jimmy Fallon got a big surprise on The Tonight Show yesterday, as did long time fans of NBC late night talk shows.
What was it? Paul Shaffer and the World’s Most Dangerous Band are filling in for The Roots this week. But that is not the surprise.
So, what is it? The band leader’s old boss, David Letterman, decided to stop by and say hi! And he did it by crashing Fallon’s monologue.
Was Fallon upset? Not at all. Well, maybe a little because Letterman slapped him in the face with a tortilla several times, and that actually hurts. Don’t worry, Jimmy got one in. And he is being sued by the original Late Night host.
It was nice to watch Letterman on TV again at 11:30p. Plus, it was wonderful to see the two hosts together because they have such different hosting styles. If they were to co-host a talk show, it would be like The Odd Couple.
Maybe we can get Letterman out of retirement to do it. Would you watch The Late Tonight Show?
UPDATE: If you are wondering where The Roots are (like I was), they are rehearsing for the SNL 50 Homecoming Concert Lineup on Friday.
