A Mr. Belvedere cast reunion
March 20th, 2025 under Reunions. [ Comments: none ]

In the mid-’80s, kids wanted to have a butler like the one on the sitcom Mr. Belvedere. However, he was not real.

What was real was the chemistry the cast had with each other. That is why, 40 years later, you can still see that surviving cast members still care for each other like a real family.

Case in point, yesterday Ilene Graff, 76 (Marsha Owens), Rob Stone, 63 (Kevin Owens), Tracy Wells, 54 (Heather Owens), and Brice Beckham, 49 (Wesley T Owens) gathered to talk about their series on KABC’s, Hollywood’s Hidden Treasures with host, Donelle Dadigan, and there all smiles. Not only that, they all look fabulous!

That is why we are still watching them. Wouldn’t it be great if they got a sequel series where Mr. Belvedere’s son comes to work for one of the Owens?

BTWF: David Faustino on Highway to Heaven
March 20th, 2025 under Before They Were Famous, David Faustino/ Corin Nemec. [ Comments: none ]

Before David Faustino’s father was a show salesman on Married…with Children, his dad was a police officer on Highway to Heaven. How cute was the 10-year-old in that 1984 episode?

Has Fatboy Slim hit hard times?
March 20th, 2025 under Hard times. [ Comments: none ]

At the turn of the century, Fatbpy Slim was probably the most famous DJ in the World. Since then, we have not heard as much from him.

However, yesterday, the Fuck Soul Brother played a set at St Kilda’s Northern Soul Fish and Chip Shop in Melbourne, Australia. So is that the only venue where the singer can play these days?

Nope! He was just living out his dream of performing at a fish and chips shop, so he did it before playing at a bigger venue in that city. In fact, he has been on tour in the land down under with three more dates to go.

Norman Cook, I just want to Praise You for doing this. Maybe you can do a Fish & Chips tour and play restaurants like that all over the world!

Today is the day that Joe Pendleton was supposed to die in Heaven on Earth

Back in 1978, Warren Beatty wrote, starred, and directed in a movie called Heaven Can Wait. He played LA Rams’ Quarterback Joe Pendleton, a man who was mistakenly taken up to heaven by an angel. While he is there, he is told his actual death date was March 20, 2025.

That date seemed so far away, 47 years ago. But today, it is the day! I would love to know how Beatty feels about that. Because he actually lived long enough to see it.

I wonder why he picked this date. It was so random back then, and now it is a reality.

Also, back then, it felt like the Rams would stay in LA forever. But the football team spent about 20 years in St. Louis. Thankfully, they came back in time to celebrate Joe Pendleton’s death day.

Thanks to Alison Martino for sharing this tidbit. I love it when predicted dates in entertainment actually turn into that day on the calendar. I don’t know why, but it is so cool. For example, George Jetson’s birthday was July 31, 2022, and Marty McFly traveled to October 21, 2015.

What other dates can you think of?
