On January 1st, Popeye the Sailor Man went into the Public Domain, which means anyone can use his likeness without getting sued.
Because of that, there are several Horror movies being made with him as the star. We have already seen the trailer for Popeye the Slayer Man, and it looks like a lot of fun.
Now, we got the trailer for Shiver Me Timbers, which Paul Stephen Mann directs, and it looks equally as much fun! Maybe even more fun because they are in on the joke of it all.
In Northern California during the summer of 1986, Olive Oyl, along with her cinema-obsessed friends and brother Castor, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime camping trip to witness the dazzling meteor shower accompanying the arrival of Halley’s comet. But what starts as a serene evening of stargazing quickly turns into a harrowing nightmare when a meteor from the comet transforms Popeye, into a terrifying and unstoppable killing machine.
Who knew this was the Horror villain we needed? But we do, and I am so happy we have him being a killing machine. Sorry, Steamboat Willie! You have been beaten out by a man who eats spinach!
Shiver Me Timbers will be available on digital and streaming in April.
Tell me, I am not the only one who is obsessed with the Jennifer Hudson Show Spirit tunnels. I watch them to see how the celebrity will walk through them as they go from the green room to the set.
Most of them dance to the beat of the song the staff is singing or chanting, some walk, and then there is Usher. The singer wore rollerskates and made his time through the tunnel the most memorable one to date!
I loved and respected that he did that and let everyone around him know he was having a blast! It lets them all know he and the other celebrities are loving this entrance and that they are going to make you feel as wonderful as you are making them feel!
And hopefully, they will forget what a jerk Justin Hartley was when it was his turn to do it.
