Fire leads off the night when they get a call about an underground gas explosion at a highrise.
They rush into the building to save as many people as they can. When they arrive, Firehouse 51 splits up to rescue people in different parts of the building. They don’t have a lot of time because the building is at risk of collapsing.
Almost all of them get out. However, Lt. Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) get trapped underground in a subway that derailed because of rubble from the explosion.
Ruzek is not the only PD member missing. So is Desk Sgt. Trudy Platt (Amy Morton). Even though the building is unstable, Mouch (Christian Stolte) and Hermann (David Eigenberg) go back in to look for her.
When they find her, she needs to be rushed to Chicago Med due to life-threatening injuries. That is when the medical drama takes over the three-hour event. They need to work on her and other injured victims from the explosion.
Not all the doctors are in the hospital. Dr. Archer (Steven Weber) and Dr. Frost (Darren Barnet) head out to the scene. Both will be important in different ways.
As lives are left in peril, Chicago PD has to investigate the source of the explosion. It turns out it was not an accident. Officer Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) are on the case.
In the final hour, they will have to find out who did it and why. There is one victim with burns all over her body who can be the person who will be able to help them the most. However, Dr. Caitlin Lenox (Sarah Ramos) won’t let them talk to the woman who is intubated after a surgery to save her life.
Will they be able to get the information they need? You will have to tune in to find out.
I am not usually a fan of the Chicago One crossover events because I don’t watch Chicago PD. However, this one flowed so naturally it truly feels like one show for three hours and not three individual shows.
Whether you watch the Chicago first responders’ drama or not, this is an exciting three hours that anyone can enjoy watching.
Gabriel Macht played Harvey Specter on Suits for nine seasons, and it is hard not to love his character. So when people see him in person, they stop to say hi.
However, he has a message for them if they say this one thing to him. “When people come up to me and they’re like, ‘I went to law school because of you,’ I always apologize profusely,” the actor told People. “If you like to read, that is great because you’re going to sit with a book, like this, for hours.”
If they were reading instead of watching Suits, then they might have become an actor instead of a lawyer.
Macht will be inspiring a new generation of lawyers when he guest stars on NBC’s Suits LA starting on February 23rd.
Tom Welling did not have a good weekend because TMZ is reporting that the actor was arrested for driving under the influence at an Arby’s in Yreka, California, just after midnight on Sunday night. His blood alcohol level is said to have been at or above 0.08%, which is California’s legal limit.
Over the Christmas season, people were horrified by a life-size animatronic of Buddy the Elf that was being sold by Home Depot for $199.
However, we did not know what Will Ferrell thought of it. This morning, Today had the actor as a guest, and they got him a present. What was it? That infamous life-size nightmare.
What did he think of it? “OMG! It’s Buddy the Elf the Axe Murder!” He added with fear in his voice, “It’s chilling.” And it is.
He also wanted to let everyone know that he did not sign off on it. Who did? Well, that is something only Santa knows.
BTW Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin told the happier Buddy the Elf that the creepy one was a gift for him.
I really hope he took it home with him and uses it as a stand-in on all of his movies. Could you imagine the poor actor who would have to read lines with it so that Ferrell could take a smoke break? It would like totally freak them out!
