Before Jay Leno was able to buy any car he wanted, thanks to hosting The Tonight Show, he was part of the failed pilot Almost Heaven. How fun is it to see him acting on a show when he was 27 in that 1978 episode?
Baz Luhrmann spent several years working on an Elvis Presley biopic. That was turned into an Oscar-nominated movie in which Austin Butler played the legendary musician.
The director revealed yesterday that he had unearthed lost videos of the late singer, and he will be turning them into a behind-the-scenes feature of The King from the early ’70s concert events.
“There has always been talk amongst Elvis’ fans, both longtime fans and newer fans brought in by our film Elvis, of missing reels and never-before-seen concert footage,” Luhrmann told Deadline. “During the making of Elvis, from very early on in my process I had the privilege to access the studio’s vaults deep in the salt mines of Kansas, where troves of old film negatives are stored. We were astonished by the sheer volume of unused footage from Elvis: That’s the Way It Is, the film of Elvis’ legendary 1970 Summer Festival in Las Vegas – all shot on anamorphic 35mm – and also from Elvis’s road concert film from two years later, Elvis on Tour.”
Luhrmann is currently taking care of business to make this happen, so, as of now, there is no release date. However, he did cut a teaser. If you want to see it, then click here!
Sweet Magnolias will be back for its fourth season on February 6th. Today, Netflix released the first look for this upcoming season, and it appears that our ladies are not going to have a sweet holiday season.
Come spend the holidays in Serenity. This season takes us from Halloween to Christmas, with surprising laughter, unexpected heartbreak, and renewed resolve along the way. While negotiating the twists and turns of their romantic lives, Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott), and Helen (Heather Headley) must also navigate the return of old foes, the loss of great loves, and the pain of transition from past dreams to present ones. As the men in their lives pursue their own dreams and the teenagers take uneasy steps toward adulthood, the Magnolias support each other with creative problem-solving, deep-hearted commitment, and — as always — weekly margaritas.
So, get the tequila ready because we are going to need it as we watch the three best friends on television go through some happy and sad times.
CBS pulled the plug on The Talk over a month before Beyond the Gates premieres on February 24th. So they need shows to fill in during that time slot.

Since game shows are primarily air before the sun goes down, this is a smart move to gain an audience for the series.
The only problem is that the jokes the celebrities tell are primarily for after dark. So it will be interesting to see how the people who watch game shows, soap operas, and talk shows feel about hearing naughty jokes.
Colin Jost has been working on Saturday Night Live for 20 years, and he is married to Scarlett Johansson. So, you would think that he would have learned a thing or two about acting. But it does not appear that he has.
Case in point: The host of Pop Culture Jeopardy was given the category Movie Quotes Done Low-Key to read to the contestants. He read it blander than the inside of Kim Kardashian’s house.
It is like when someone reads the lyrics to a song with a melody and asks you what song it is. I guess that is the point of the category, but I still feel like he could have done more with it. So, I hope his wife shows him how to do it correctly. For some reason, I am thinking of Arby’s.
