Christmas is coming early on Saturday Night Live because Ariana Grande is hosting the final 2025 episode with CHER as the musical guest on December 20th. This has been the best combo since. I don’t know since! Kudos for making it happen. I just hope it doesn’t disappoint. Plus, you know they will do at least one skit together, and maybe another where Ariana does an impression of Cher. Maybe they can do a Freaky Friday thingy!
In other SNL news, Melissa McCarthy hosts as Dijon sings on December 6th. The following week, Josh O’Connor and Lily Allen do the same.
Fun fact: This is only the second time Cher has been a musical guest on SNL. The last time she belted out her songs on the variety show was 1987. And she hasn’t aged in nearly 40 years.
Oh, and not-so-fun fact for Cher: Grande wasn’t even alive in ’87; she made her debut in 1993. How Wicked is that?
I feel like we have been hearing about the live-action version of Moana for ages. And today, we finally got a teaser of what it is going to look like when it comes out this summer.
Moana (Catherine Lagaʻaia) answers the Ocean’s call and, for the first time, voyages beyond the reef of her island of Motunui with the infamous demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) on an unforgettable journey to restore prosperity to her people.
Does it look like how you thought it would look? I can’t answer that question because, believe it or not, I have never seen it.
Alfonso Ribeiro is the host of America’s Funniest Videos and Dancing with the Stars. And Tom Bergeron had both of those jobs before the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor did.
Recently, Bergeron was offered a job he could not refuse. What is it? To replace Ribeiro as Carlton on Fresh Prince. And the worst part is that he will not have to do The Carlton.
If ever there was a dance that needed to be performed by a white man who can’t dance, it is The Carlton.
Since the contract has not been signed, maybe they can slip in that he has to do to the dance without him noticing.
On that note, when is someone going to give Bergeiro a show to host together???
On the midseason finale of Grey’s Anatomy, we found out that Dr. Webber was diagnosed with prostate cancer. His character is not the only one who was diagnosed with; the actor got the same news earlier this year.
In 2024, he had his PSA tested; it was slightly elevated but still within the normal range. He went back in January, and this time it was higher. So after an MRI and a biopsy, he found out that, like almost all of the men in his family, he had prostate cancer.
He told Black Health Matters, “It’s not the kind of news anyone wants to hear, but to be honest, prostate cancer has run through my family. My father had it. He had a lot of brothers; several of them had it. I would have been surprised if I hadn’t gotten it.”
Because it runs in his family, the 73-year-old has been getting tested since he was in his early 40s. And that early detection worked to his advantage.
The doctors recommended he get his prostate removed because it was caught so early, and that was the course of treatment he went with.
If prostate cancer is caught early enough, it is curable. So go to your doctor and let them test your blood. That is all it takes to possibly save your life.
