Jelly Roll pays for the strangers’ dinners in Little Rock
October 22nd, 2024 under Jelly Roll. [ Comments: none ]

Jelly Roll is not an overnight sucess. He had to work hard and play a lot of small venues before he could sell out places like Simmons Bank Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Before he sold out that arena, he was so proud when he was able to fill all 200 seats at Stickyz Chicken Shack. From there, he started playing the Rev Room, which was next to Gus’ World Famous Fried Chicken. When they were done filling the seats, they would fill their bellies with fried chicken.

In honor of his return to Little Rock, he decided to pay for everyone’s meal at the chicken restaurant today. Making strangers as happy as he was when he would eat there.

The chart-topping singer had a message for the musicians who are performing at those same bars: “I played Stickyz ten times. I’ve played the Rev Room twenty times. Keep playing, baby! Keep Playing!”

Keep playing, and you might also one day sing at the Grammys and sell out Simmons like he did!

I hope everyone who got a free meal buys his new CD Beautifully Broken. After all, he is going to need the money to pay for all of those meals!

We need more stars like Jelly Roll who give back like this!

Kathy Bates is not retiring anytime soon!
October 22nd, 2024 under Kathy Bates. [ Comments: none ]

A few weeks ago, Kathy Bates said she plans on retiring when Matloxk ends. Well, today, she found out she can’t retire until at least the spring of 2026. That is because CBS picked up the legal drama for a second season after just two airings.

“This reconceived MATLOCK was devised by Jennie Snyder Urman with a brilliant surprise plot twist, and we knew we had something very special the moment we saw the first episode brought to life by the incredibly talented Kathy Bates,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “The audience reception and critical acclaim for it has been overwhelming. We can’t wait to get started on a second season.”

If you have not watched the show yet, then check it out on Paramount+. There is a reason why everyone is loving this series! Bates is so endearing. Plus, Snyder Urman, who created Jane the Virgin, has struck gold again. She knows how to write telenovelas for us Gringos to enjoy!

John Mellencamp goes bronze
October 22nd, 2024 under John Mellencamp. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know if you know this, but John Mellencamp is from a small town in Indiana with little pink houses. And no matter how successful he has gotten, he has stayed in his home state.

So, to honor their hometown hero, Indiana University Bloomington had a bronze statue constructed in his likeness.

Livingston Designs Sculpture Studio’s Michael McAuley created the clay statue before it was covered in bronze, and the sculptor used a photo chosen by the singer and taken by his ex-wife, Elaine Irwin, to model the face, according to Indy Star.

The monument was revealed on Friday, and Mellencamp loves it. But who wouldn’t love a statue made to look like them? Well, actually, I think it looks more like the old Randy Travis. But that is me!

Peter Griffin heats up Hot Ones
October 22nd, 2024 under Sean Evans Hot Ones, Seth MacFarlane. [ Comments: none ]

I am beginning to think that Sean Evans is running out of people to interview for Hot Ones. Why do I say that? Because his latest victim is Peter Griffin.

As we know, Peter Griffin is not real. However, he was real enough to drink a bottle of the hottest sauce.

How did it go? He learned that even cartoon characters can feel the pain of getting hot sauce on your wiener, and I am not talking about a hot dog. Not only that but what burns going in burns even more coming out.

But it was all worth it because he got to promote the 25th anniversary of Family Guy and the two holiday specials on Hulu. The Halloween one is streaming now. Streaming is something that hurts Peter because he touched his penis with the Devil sauce.
