Space Sharks are coming for us!
May 28th, 2024 under Movies. [ Comments: none ]

From the evil mind of Dustin William Ferguson, we have seen Mega Ape, Cocaine Cougar, Big Freakin’ Snake, Ebola Rex, Apex Predators, and Aliens in LA. And soon, we are getting something of his that is out of this World!

Get ready for Space Sharks! A military experiment conducted on a space station goes horribly wrong, sending a new breed of weaponized sharks to Earth with only one mission: destroy everything in their path. For example, Eric Roberts’ career.

I jest. Space Sharks is going to be a fun watch on a day when you need something that doesn’t require any brain cells and will make you laugh. We need more movies like that and less like Flight Risk.

BTWF: Tom Selleck in Myra Breckinridge
May 28th, 2024 under Before They Were Famous, Tom Selleck. [ Comments: none ]

Before Tom Selleck was one of the most well-known actors of a generation, he got his start in the movie, Myra Breckinridge, with an actress who influenced several generations. I can see why Mae West personally cast the 24-year-old for that part in that 1970 film. Hubba, Hubba!

Tom Selleck’s epic story about auditioning for Mae West
May 28th, 2024 under Tom Selleck. [ Comments: none ]

Tom Selleck made his movie debut in Myra Breckinridge in 1970. He starred alongside the legendary Mae West.

Before he got the role, he had to audition for it, and he told The Talk hosts today it was not your ordinary audition.

The sex symbol told him to come up sometime to her place so that he could read for the part with her.

When they were done, she asked him to come over to her. Then she instructed him to put his hands on her waist and spread his legs!

Was she going to find out if he had a rocket in his pocket? Nope! The larger-than-life star was only 5′ tall, and she wanted to make sure the 6’4″ was not towering over her in their scene together.

So he did as she instructed, and the rest is Hollywood history and the start of one helluva career.

When they made that movie, West was 77 years old. Selleck is now two years older than she was when they worked together. She had a 60-year career, and he is going into his if you count his debut on The Dating Game in 1965.

It is as though she transferred her legacy onto him, and I bet neither one of them thought that would be the case with a small role that made a big difference in his life.

Khaby Lame is stronger than the Bad Boys
May 28th, 2024 under Khaby Lame, Martin Lawrence, Will Smith. [ Comments: none ]

The Bad Boys are back on June 7th, and Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are not as young as they used to be when the first movie came out in 1995. And it is showing.

The two actors are on their promotional tour for Bad Boys: Ride or Die. At one of their stops, they got stuck inside a building and couldn’t open the door to get out, no matter how hard they tried.

Thankfully, Khaby Lame was able to save the day! He unlocked the door, and they were free!

The door was so happy because he was afraid of Smith. He had watched the fateful Oscars and knows what the actor could do.

What is Drew Barrymore’s ‘kind of date’?
May 28th, 2024 under Drew Barrymore. [ Comments: none ]

Today, on the Drew Barrymore Show, Drew and Ross Matthews talked about colonoscopies.

If you asked most people about getting one, they would be like it is awful and they despise getting them.

Not the host. “I do love a colonoscopy, guys,” she excitedly told the audience. “You get to clean out. You get to be put out. And hopefully, you wake up to good news. Like, that’s my kind of date.”

Her co-host was left dumbfounded and declared, “She is so weird.” I am not going to argue with him on this declaration because it is spot on.

I have never met anyone who loved getting one. Have you?
